Kingston is about 1 mile south-east of Portsmouth, in Portsmouth. Planning a catered barbecue in Kingston? We cover the whole area. We cater 19 places across Portsmouth, from the larger towns to small villages. We cater events right across the region, from Kingston to Southampton (16 miles away).
After a christening at a church such as Church of St Cuthbert, a barbecue at home or a hall nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. Clubs and leisure centres near Kingston can host a barbecue if there’s outdoor space. The sea is within about 2 miles of Kingston, so breezy days are common: we choose a sheltered spot for the grill and keep smoke away from guests.
Anywhere in PO1, PO3 and PO4, we can cook on site for your guests. Your event could be at a house on Renny Road, Clive Road and Union Road, wherever there is an outdoor spot for the barbecue. Allergies and dietary needs
We give full allergen information for every dish. To help:
- Check whether anyone avoids pork or beef when choosing the meats
- Add a dietary question to the invitation
- Give us numbers for the meat-free options
- Check the allergen information for sauces and marinades
If timings change, tell your contact as early as you can, and we will adjust where we can.
Add coleslaw, salads and jacket potatoes for a full meal.

What we serve, dish by dish
Beef burgers
Our chef grills beef burgers to order, hot off the barbecue.
Pulled pork
Because it’s slow-cooked, pulled pork is ready as soon as we start serving, which keeps the queue moving.
A catered barbecue compared with other options
Next to a fixed venue menu, you pick the meats, the sides and the meat-free options yourself. The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, along with distance and how easy the site is. There is no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.
Why us?
- A full barbecue menu
- Sides to make it a full meal
- A clear quote with everything listed
- Halloumi skewers and a vegan option
Where the barbecue can go in Kingston
A barbecue needs a level, open spot outdoors with cover. Here’s what helps:
- Access through a gate or passage wide enough for our kit
- Somewhere dry for guests to eat if it rains
- Somewhere the smoke can drift away from open windows

How it works
On the day, we set up the barbecue on the agreed spot, put the cover up and get it hot. From there, we cook as your guests come up, timed to when you want to eat. At midsummer, it’s light in Kingston until about 9:20pm, which gives a barbecue a long summer evening. By late September, sunset is nearer 7:10pm.
- We start with your date, venue and numbers.
- Choose your meats and sides.
- We check the space and quote.
- We cook on site and serve at the agreed time.
- We pack away and leave the area tidy.
Getting ready for the day
- Keep the grill downwind of the seating
- Confirm your menu choices in good time
- Plan lighting if the barbecue runs into the evening

Planning help
Working with your venue
If you are a venue or event planner, we’re happy to work alongside your team.
Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so it’s worth asking first. We’ll work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.

Roughly 64 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.
What’s the nearest station to Kingston?
Fratton station, about 0.5 miles south-west of the centre.
Do you provide china?
We bring plates as standard. China crockery is available on request and quoted separately.
What meats do you barbecue?
Burgers, sausages, chicken skewers, ribs, pulled pork and brisket, plus vegetarian and vegan options. Add salads, coleslaw and potatoes.
Do you offer halal meat?
No, we do not offer halal meat. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, or halal food can be arranged separately.

What do children generally eat?
Burgers and sausages are normally the children’s favourites, with a vegan sausage for any vegetarian children. Let us know numbers for children.
