Wedding hog roast
A hog roast for the wedding breakfast or the evening: slow-roasted at your venue, carved by our chef and served by our staff, with lamb, chicken and vegetarian options alongside.
- Wedding breakfasts with salads and potatoes
- Evening food after the first dance
- Marquee and garden weddings
Wedding hog roast, slow-roasted on site
A hog roast suits weddings that feel relaxed and generous. For the wedding breakfast, our chef carves at a serving station and our staff serve the pork with salads, new potatoes, coleslaw or roast potatoes, with china plates if you’d like them. In the evening, rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling are just what guests want after a few hours of dancing.
The hog roasts slowly on site through the afternoon, outdoors under cover, so we agree a cooking spot with your venue well in advance. Lamb, chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers and a vegan option look after guests who don’t eat pork. Tell us your venue, date and timings and we’ll plan the day around your running order.

How it works
- Send us your date, venue, guest numbers and whether it’s the wedding breakfast, the evening or both.
- We check the date and the venue’s rules for outside caterers, then send a quote.
- We agree the cooking spot, arrival time and serving times with you and your venue.
- On the day the hog roasts through the afternoon; our chef carves and our staff serve on cue.
- We clear the serving area and leave quietly, so the party carries on.
Check your venue’s rules
Some venues only allow caterers from an approved list, or charge a fee for outside caterers. Others have rules about where a gas-fired roaster can go. Ask early, and pass on anything they need from us.
Timing the evening food
Evening food usually goes out an hour or two after the first dance. Because the roast cooks for hours, we work back from your serving time, so tell us if the running order changes.

A hog roast compared with other event catering
| Option | Good for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Hog roast | One roast feeds a crowd; carved hot in front of guests; no kitchen needed | It’s pork, so add lamb, chicken or vegetarian options; needs an outdoor cooking spot |
| Barbecue | Casual and familiar | Food comes off in batches; someone has to stand at the grill |
| Food vans | Quick, informal street food | Each order is cooked separately, so big groups can mean queues |
| Cold buffet | Simple; no cooking on site | Food sits out; nothing hot on a cold evening |
| Plated meal | Formal and traditional | Needs a kitchen, more staff and usually costs more per head |

Wedding hog roast: questions
Can a hog roast be the wedding breakfast?
Yes. Our chef carves at a serving station and our staff serve it with salads and potatoes, on plates or china, so it works as a relaxed main meal.
Can you do the evening food as well?
Yes. Many couples have the hog roast in the evening, in rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling.
What about guests who don’t eat pork?
Add lamb, rotisserie chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. We don’t offer halal meat.
Do you need anything from the venue?
A level, open cooking spot outdoors with cover, and the venue’s agreement. We’ll confirm the details with them.
Where do you cater?
Across London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight. Find your area.
How do I get a quote?
