About our BBQ catering in The Brents
The point of a catered barbecue is that you get to enjoy it. We look after the grill, the serving and the clearing, so your time goes on your guests, not the food. We are often asked to cater leaving and retirement parties and reunions and family get-togethers, serving halloumi skewers, coleslaw and beef burgers.
Barbecues around The Brents are often relaxed garden affairs. It suits that kind of day, and you won’t spend it cooking. You get a barbecue without the work: we shop, cook, serve and clear.
Allergies and dietary needs
Allergies and dietary needs are easy to manage if we know in advance. Some ideas:
- Plan separately for anyone who needs halal food
- Think about who does not eat pork or beef so the menu has enough choice
- Add a dietary question to the invitation
- Let us know roughly how many children are coming
We cook as your guests come up, while our staff serve and keep things flowing.
For a bigger event, add a hog roast alongside the barbecue.
The process
On the day, we set up the barbecue on the agreed spot, put the cover up and get it hot. From there, we cook as your guests come up, worked around your serving time. At midsummer, it is light in The Brents until about 9:15pm, so an evening barbecue can run late in daylight. By late September, sunset is nearer 7:00pm.
- It starts with your date, venue, numbers and serving time.
- We check the date and the cooking area, then send a quote.
- We arrive ahead of service and set up under cover.
- At serving time, the chef grills and the team serves.
- We clear the serving area and pack away.

What BBQ catering costs
Each booking is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:
- Access to the cooking area
- Travel to The Brents
- Season and day of the week
- Numbers
The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, along with distance and how easy the site is. Every booking is different, so we quote each one individually.
What we need to know
When you get in touch, it helps to include:
- Where the event is
- The date and time of the event
- Roughly how many people
- Rules from the venue or landowner
