A catered barbecue compared with other options

Compared with food vans, one catered barbecue keeps everyone eating together, with a menu planned around your guests. Cost depends on numbers, menu choices and service time, plus travel and access. There is no one-size price, so we quote each one individually.

Why The Platt hosts choose us

  • Six meats to choose from
  • Our chef at the grill, not you
  • Barbecue and hog roast together for big events
  • Vegetarian and vegan options as standard

Take a look at how we price and BBQ menu ideas.

What happens on the day

We start by setting up the barbecue and a serving table where we agreed. Then it is a case of cooking and serving through the time you’ve chosen. Sunset in The Platt is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:15pm in late June, so most summer barbecues are served in daylight.

  1. Send a photo of where the barbecue could go.
  2. We check it and send a price.
  3. On the day, we cook on site under cover.
  4. Our team serves hot food through the agreed time.
  5. We leave the spot tidy.

How to prepare

  • Include children in your numbers
  • Confirm your menu choices in good time
  • Think about lights for the serving area after dark
