BBQ catering in Wargrave, served hot

A home barbecue means hours at the grill and a pile of washing up. A catered barbecue takes all of that off your hands, so you can spend the time with your guests. We are often asked to cater back-garden get-togethers and street parties, serving pulled pork, coleslaw and sausages.

Barbecues around Wargrave are often relaxed garden affairs. A catered barbecue fits right in, with nobody you know stuck at the grill. Let us know about allergies and dietary needs in advance, and we will tell you exactly what’s in each dish.

Wargrave questions

Could you cook in Loddon Nature Reserve?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them first, and tell us what they say.

How far is Wargrave from London?

About 33 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Will you clear up afterwards?

Yes, we clear up after service. China is available on request.

Should we have every meat?

You do not need everything. Mix quick-grilled items with pulled pork or brisket.

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes. Vegetarians get halloumi and vegetable skewers, and vegans get a vegan burger or sausage.

Do you provide china?

Plates are included. China is available at an extra cost.

How soon do barbecue dates go?

Summer Saturdays go first, so ask as early as you can. Midweek dates are typically easier to get. Use our quote form.

What do children normally eat?

Most children head straight for the burgers and sausages, with a vegan sausage for any vegetarian children. Tell us roughly how many are coming.

What BBQ catering costs

Things that change the price:

  • The date and time of year
  • Whether you want china
  • The journey to the venue
  • How easy it is to reach the spot

Distance is part of the price: travel is included in your quote, with any London charges listed. Give us the address so the quote is accurate.

What to tell us

Good details mean a good quote. Please include:

  • Any venue rules
  • Any dietary needs or allergies
  • The venue or postcode
  • The date and time of the event

We price every booking individually, because numbers, menu, serving time and travel vary. Tell us about your event for a quote: fill in our quote form.

A catered barbecue compared with other options

Compared with a DIY barbecue, no host is stuck flipping burgers all afternoon, and the food is cooked properly by people who do it every week. What you choose to eat matters most: burgers and sausages cost less than brisket and ribs, so we list each item in the quote. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.

Why Wargrave hosts choose us

  • Add a hog roast alongside
  • Hot food straight off the grill
  • Burgers, ribs, pulled pork, brisket and more
  • Halloumi skewers and a vegan option

Allergies and dietary needs

A little planning helps everyone eat safely. A few tips:

  • Plan separately for anyone who needs halal food
  • Add a dietary question to the invitation
  • Ask for gluten-free rolls if anyone needs them
  • Tell us if anyone doesn’t eat beef

We set up on the spot we agreed and stay out of the way, so the event carries on around us.

Sides turn a barbecue into a proper meal.

Before you choose a spot

Most gardens, yards, car parks and fields can take a barbecue with a little planning. A quick checklist:

  • A spot where smoke will not blow into the house or marquee
  • A level lawn, patio or hard standing
  • Somewhere for us to park close to the cooking spot

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Planners, venues and businesses

Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so it is worth asking first. We’ll work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a fête committee, let us know who we’ll deal with on the day. We will keep everyone in the loop.

The process

When we arrive, we set up the barbecue on the agreed spot, put the cover up and get it hot. Then our chef cooks through the service time, worked around your serving time. Evening barbecues in Wargrave need a little planning: it is light until about 9:25pm in June but only about 7:05pm in late September. After dark, the serving table needs lighting.

  1. Send a picture of where the barbecue could go.
  2. We check it and send a price.
  3. On the day, we cook on site under cover.
  4. Our team serves hot food through the agreed time.
  5. We leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Send final numbers in good time
  • Give us a contact number for the day
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
