BBQ catering for Westbere
How our BBQ catering works in Westbere
Barbecue food is at its best straight from the grill, so we cook and serve through the agreed service time. Tell us when you’d like to eat and we will plan around it. We serve halloumi skewers, sausages and BBQ ribs, and typical bookings are for garden parties and birthdays and milestone parties.
In a small place like Westbere, a barbecue in a garden, a paddock or the village green with permission is often the plan. Let us know about access, and we’ll plan the route. You will know what’s included before you book: serving times, the menu, staff and anything else agreed.

The process
When we arrive, we set up the barbecue on the agreed spot, put the cover up and get it hot. From there, we cook as your guests come up, timed to when you want to eat. At midsummer, it is light in Westbere until about 9:15pm, so an evening barbecue can run late in daylight. By late September, sunset is nearer 7:00pm.
- First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and serving time.
- You get a check on the date and the spot, and a quote.
- We arrive ahead of service and set up under cover.
- At serving time, the chef grills and the team serves.
- Afterwards we clear up and leave the spot tidy.
How to prepare
- Send final numbers in good time
- Name a contact for the day
- Keep the grill downwind of the seating

Questions from Westbere
Is Westbere close to London?
About 55 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.
Is Westbere too small for a barbecue?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.
Do you label the food for allergies?
We can label dishes at the serving table. Tell us about allergies in advance.
How soon do you get booked up?
The earlier the better for popular dates. But do ask even at short notice: use our quote form.
Will you clear up afterwards?
We tidy the serving area. China is available on request.
Do you cook the barbecue on site?
Yes, on site at your venue in Westbere. We need a level, open area outdoors with room for the grill and a serving table.
Do you clear up?
We clear the serving area and pack away, and leave the area tidy.
Will children like the BBQ?
Usually, yes: burgers and sausages in a roll are easy for small hands. Give us a rough number of children.
What BBQ catering costs
Each price is built from:
- Plates or china
- Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
- Access to the cooking area
- Numbers
The menu makes a big difference to the price: a simple menu costs less than one with brisket and ribs, so we list each item in the quote. Ask us to suggest a menu for your budget.
What to tell us
When you enquire, please mention:
- Any venue rules
- The venue or postcode
- Rough numbers
- Any dietary needs or allergies
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many people, plus when you’d like to eat. We’ll confirm availability and send a price. Fill in our quote form.
For planners, venues and organisers
If you’re a venue or event planner, we are happy to work alongside your team.
Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so check before you book. We’ll liaise with them on access and set-up.
Diets, allergies and alternatives
We give full allergen information for every dish. To make the most of it:
- Let us know roughly how many children are coming
- Think about who doesn’t eat pork or beef so the menu has enough choice
- Halal is not offered, so arrange it separately if needed
- Mention any guests who avoid beef
Pulled pork and brisket are ready from the moment service begins, so nobody waits for the first burgers.
Pulled pork and brisket make the menu feel more substantial.
Space, access and the venue
Most outdoor spaces work for a barbecue if a few things are right. Check these:
- Space for the barbecue and a serving table
- Space for our vehicle nearby
- The venue’s agreement for an outside caterer
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
