About our Christmas hog roast in Warren Street

Winter weather is part of the plan: we cook under cover, and guests eat somewhere warm. Indoors or a heated marquee is ideal. Whether it is end-of-term celebrations and staff Christmas do’s, we can cook roast potatoes, rotisserie chicken and halloumi skewers and more.

In winter near Warren Street, we need firm ground and light. You’ll know what’s included before booking: the date, the serving time, the menu and the plates, with no surprises on the day.

Planning for dietary needs

Rolls and stuffing normally contain gluten, and gluten-free rolls are available on request. Other tips:

  • Halal is not offered, so arrange it separately
  • Stuffing typically contains gluten, so check the allergen list
  • Send the allergen list round before the party
  • Collect dietary needs with Christmas party sign-ups

The cooking area and the path to it need lighting after dark, and we will plan it with you.

Some venues add a fee for outside caterers, so it’s worth asking first. We’ll liaise with them on access and set-up.

Organisers may ask for documents such as a risk assessment or gas safety information. Let us know what your event requires and we will confirm what we can provide.

Warren Street questions

Is Warren Street close to London?

Roughly 41 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.

Can you do a hog roast in Spuckles and Kennelling Woods?

Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Ask them first.

Can you work around our timings?

We work back from when you want to eat, and a cooked roast can be held for a while if things run late.

Can you roast in the rain?

The roaster is under cover, so a shower does not stop us. Plan somewhere sheltered for eating.

Does the roaster have to be outside?

Outside, always. Serving indoors is generally fine if the venue is happy.

Is turkey available?

Roast turkey can be added for Christmas, alongside the pork.

Do you come to Warren Street?

Yes, Warren Street is in our area. Tell us the venue or postcode and we’ll check the date.

Can you cater for vegetarians?

We can add lamb or chicken, plus halloumi skewers for vegetarians and a vegan burger or sausage. Halal meat is not something we offer.

How we price a hog roast for your Christmas party

There’s no fixed price list, since every event is different. What matters most:

  • Distance from us
  • Numbers
  • The serving time and how long we are on site
  • The menu and extras such as lamb or chicken

UK price guides vary widely: roughly £10 a head for a simple roll, rising past £20 with more included. Every event gets its own quote, with everything listed.

Details that help

To check the date and the space, tell us:

  • The date and when you’d like to eat
  • Any dietary needs or allergies
  • Where the roaster could go, ideally with a photo
  • Any extras, such as lamb, chicken or china

The quickest way to get a price is to tell us the date, where the Christmas party is and roughly how many. A picture of where the roaster could go helps us check the space. Send us your details through our quote form.

The process

A hog roast is always cooked outside, under a gazebo on level ground, well clear of walls, tents and trees. We agree exactly where before the day. A lunchtime Christmas party in Warren Street is the only one in good daylight, as it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so for anything later, plan lights and somewhere warm to eat.

  1. It starts with your date, venue and rough numbers.
  2. We check the venue and send a price.
  3. We set up in daylight and roast into the evening.
  4. Our chef carves and our staff serve hot food at the agreed time.
  5. Afterwards we pack up and leave the spot tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Give us final numbers a week or so before
  • Keep the spot clear of buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches
  • Have a covered area for eating in case of rain
