A hog roast near Whetsted
Catered or do it yourself?
Some hosts try a barbecue instead, but someone has to stand at the grill all day. A hog roast cooks in one go and is carved for everyone.
Full catering or machine hire? Catered means we do everything: roasting, carving, serving and clearing. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.
Christmas hog roast in Whetsted, slow-roasted on site
December is dark early, so we start in daylight and roast into the evening. The cooking area and path need lighting. Whether it’s boxing Day and New Year gatherings and christmas markets, we will put together a menu of roast turkey, crackling and rotisserie chicken and more.
For a Christmas party near Whetsted, firm, lit ground near the house or hall is key. You’ll know what’s included before you book: serving times, the menu, staff and anything else agreed, with no surprises on the day.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
Compared with a cold buffet, hot carved meat is far more welcome in December. Cost depends on numbers, menu choices and service time, plus travel and access. Every booking is different, so we quote each one individually.
Why Whetsted hosts choose us
- Salads, potatoes and coleslaw to go with it
- Roasted on site, slowly, for hours
- Planned to your running order
- Staff to serve, so you don’t have to

- Send the allergen list round before the party
- Find out who’d prefer turkey or chicken
Lighting at the serving table matters after dark, and we’ll plan it with you.

- Options beyond pork, including lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes
