Our BBQ planning guide

BBQ catering for your event in Angel

Burgers, sausages and chicken skewers come straight off the grill, with sticky ribs, pulled pork and sliced brisket alongside. You choose the mix that suits your event. We serve pulled pork, beef burgers and halloumi skewers, and we’re regularly asked to cater evening wedding food and family celebrations.

Around Angel, most London barbecues are in back gardens, yards, courtyards and car parks. If there’s no side passage, a rear gate or yard may work, and a picture helps us check. Everything is cooked through properly, with separate equipment for raw and cooked food.

Prices and what affects them

Each price is built from:

  • Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
  • Numbers
  • Whether you want china
  • How easy it is to reach the spot

Cost depends on numbers, menu choices and service time, plus travel and access. Every booking is different, which is why each one gets its own quote.

Details that help

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • Any venue rules
  • Allergies we should know about
  • Rough numbers
  • The date and when you’d like to eat

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many people, along with your serving time. We’ll confirm availability and send a price. Fill in our quote form.

Looking after everyone

With a bit of planning, dietary needs are easier to handle. A few tips:

  • Tell us how many vegetarians and vegans to expect
  • Mention any guests who avoid beef
  • Check the allergen information for sauces and marinades
  • Let us know roughly how many children are coming

We cook as your guests come up, while our staff serve and keep things flowing.

A hog roast and a barbecue together cover every taste.

Your questions about a catered barbecue in Angel

Can you get a barbecue into a London garden in Angel?

It depends on access: a rear gate or yard typically works. Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Which station is closest to Angel?

The closest is London Kings Cross station, roughly 0.7 miles away.

Do you offer halal meat?

No. Please arrange halal food separately if anyone needs it; our vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Can you do a hog roast as well?

Yes, and it’s a popular combination. Tell us your numbers and we will suggest a split.

Do we have to eat from rolls?

Yes. With salads and potatoes, it’s a proper meal on a plate.

Do you cover Angel?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, Angel and the rest of Greater London included. Tell us the venue and we’ll quote.

How much choice do we need?

Not normally. Mix quick-grilled items with pulled pork or brisket and we will advise on the rest.

Can you barbecue in bad weather?

The barbecue cooks under cover, so a shower doesn’t stop it. Have a gazebo, marquee or room indoors for eating.

What the cooking area needs

The grill needs flat ground outdoors and cover overhead. Here’s what helps:

  • Somewhere dry for guests to eat if it rains
  • Parking near the grill
  • A step-free route to wheel the equipment in

Angel is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access can be tight: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Beef burgers

Burgers cook quickly on the grill, so they keep the queue moving.

How it works

When we arrive, we set up the barbecue on the agreed spot, put the cover up and get it hot. From there, we cook as your guests come up, timed to when you want to eat. At midsummer, it is light in Angel until about 9:20pm, which gives a barbecue a long summer evening. By late September, sunset is nearer 7:05pm.

  1. Start with the occasion, the date and the venue.
  2. You get a suggested menu and a price.
  3. We arrive ahead of service and set up under cover.
  4. We serve as people come up.
  5. The serving area is cleared before we leave.

How to prepare

  • Plan somewhere sheltered for people to eat if it rains
  • Give us final numbers a week or so before
  • Ensure the cooking area is away from walls, tents and trees

Planning help

A catered barbecue compared with other options

Compared with a barbecue cooked by friends, nobody is left cooking while the party happens, and the food is cooked by people who do it every week. What you choose to eat matters most: a simple menu costs less than one with brisket and ribs, so the quote shows each choice. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What you get with us

  • Salads, potatoes and coleslaw to go with it
  • Served at the time you choose
  • Staff to serve, so you do not have to
  • A clear quote with everything listed
