Prices and what affects them

Every booking is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Numbers
  • Site access
  • The date and time of year
  • Distance from us

The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, plus travel and access. There’s no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.

What to tell us

To check availability and the cooking area, we will need:

  • Rules from the venue or landowner
  • Where the event is
  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many people

It is easy to get a price: date, place, numbers and serving time. You will get a clear quote listing what’s included. Fill in our quote form.

About our BBQ catering in Hook Park Estate

The barbecue goes on a level, open spot outdoors with cover over it, well clear of walls, marquee sides and trees. Send us a photo of the space and we will confirm it. On the menu are beef burgers, halloumi skewers and beef brisket, and we’re often booked for birthdays and milestone parties and close and cul-de-sac parties.

In a small place like Hook Park Estate, a barbecue in a garden, a paddock or the village green with permission is frequently the plan. Tell us about lanes and ground, and we will plan the route. We bring plates as standard, and china crockery is available on request, quoted separately.

Before you choose a spot

Planning the cooking spot is the key. A quick checklist:

  • A clear way in from where we park
  • A spot where smoke won’t blow into the house or marquee

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

How it works

Before service, we set up the grill and the serving table on the agreed spot. Then our chef cooks and the team serves for as long as we’ve agreed. By late September, sunset in Hook Park Estate is about 7:10pm; in December it’s about 4:00pm. For a late-season barbecue, lunchtime is easiest.

  1. Start with the date, the venue and roughly how many.
  2. We check the space and send a quote with the menu.
  3. We arrive in good time and get the barbecue hot.
  4. At food time, we cook and serve.
  5. We tidy up and pack away.

Preparing for the day

  • Send final numbers in good time
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
  • Measure the narrowest gate or passage

A barbecue or other catering?

Next to a formal plated meal, a barbecue is relaxed and sociable, and it doesn’t need a kitchen. Midweek and quieter months are frequently easier to book, and the menu you choose matters too. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest what works.
