BBQ catering for Stocker's Head

BBQ catering in Stocker's Head, served hot

In Stocker's Head, a barbecue is a favourite for relaxed events: familiar food, lots of choice and no formality. The difference with a catered barbecue is that nobody from your party is stuck at the grill. For 18th, 21st, 40th and 50th birthdays and leaving parties, we can cook BBQ ribs, coleslaw and sausages for your guests.

In a small place like Stocker's Head, a barbecue in a garden, a paddock or the village green with permission is frequently the plan. Tell us about lanes and ground, and we’ll handle the rest. Everything is cooked through properly, with raw and cooked food kept apart.

Questions from Stocker's Head

How far is Stocker's Head from London?

About 44 miles from central London.

Is Stocker's Head too small for a barbecue?

No, we come to small places too. Let us know about access and the cooking spot.

Can it be a sit-down meal?

Yes, on plates with salads, coleslaw and potatoes.

What meats do you barbecue?

Six meats, plus vegetarian and vegan options. Most events pick three or four.

What does the venue need to provide?

A level, open spot outdoors for the grill, with room for a serving table and a way in for our equipment. Tell us what’s available on site and we will confirm the rest when we quote.

Can you barbecue in bad weather?

The cooking area is covered, so it is guests who need a wet-weather plan.

Do you clear up?

Our staff clear the serving area, so you’re not left with the mess.

Is the food cooked safely?

Meat is cooked until it’s steaming hot all the way through, with no pink and juices running clear, following Food Standards Agency advice.

A closer look at the menu

Beef burgers

Burgers cook quickly on the grill, which helps at busy times alongside the slow-cooked meats.

BBQ ribs

Glazed ribs turn a barbecue into a proper spread, alongside the other meats.

A catered barbecue compared with other options

Compared with ordering takeaway, the cooking is part of the atmosphere, and the grill becomes a gathering point. Distance is part of the price: travel is included in your quote. Give us the address so the quote is accurate.

What you get with us

  • Serving and clearing done for you
  • A choice of salads and potatoes
  • Our chef at the grill, not you
  • Planned to your running order

How the day works

Barbecue food is best straight off the grill, so we cook and serve through the agreed time. Slow-cooked meats are ready as soon as service begins, which keeps the queue moving. In Stocker's Head, late May sunsets come at about 8:45pm and midsummer ones at about 9:15pm, so most summer barbecues are served in daylight.

  1. Tell us about your event: date, address and numbers.
  2. We check the cooking spot and quote.
  3. We set up under cover before service.
  4. Our chef cooks and our staff serve.
  5. We tidy up and pack away.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us roughly how many children are coming
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
  • Keep the grill downwind of the seating

Planning a barbecue

Looking after everyone

A little planning helps everyone eat safely. A few tips:

  • Ask which items contain gluten
  • Let us know roughly how many children are coming
  • Halal is not offered, so arrange it separately if needed
  • Think about who doesn’t eat pork or beef so the menu has enough choice

When everyone has eaten, we clear the serving area and pack away, leaving the spot tidy.

Ask for gluten-free rolls if needed.
