Care home hog roast in Heathrow, carved to order

We plan the day with your manager and kitchen team: where the roaster goes, who is eating and how food is served. We are often asked to cater staff appreciation days and home anniversaries, with rotisserie chicken, apple sauce and roast potatoes.

At a rural home near Heathrow, access matters. Everything we need to roast, carve and serve comes with us, and we pack away and leave the area as we found it.

What a hog roast costs

Things that change the price:

  • Plates or china
  • The menu and extras such as lamb or chicken
  • The date and time of year
  • How easy it is to reach the spot

Weekday and off-season dates can be easier to book, and the menu you choose matters too. Tell us your budget and we will suggest what works.

What we need to know

These are the details we need:

  • Rules from the venue or landowner
  • What the outdoor space is like
  • The date and time of the event
  • An estimate of numbers

Every care home event is quoted on its own, because numbers, menu, serving time and travel vary. Tell us about your care home event for a quote: fill in our quote form.

Why choose a hog roast in Heathrow?

Some homes combine a hog roast with entertainment, such as a singer or a garden fête. The main driver is numbers: bigger groups normally cost less per head, because the roaster, staff and travel cost much the same either way.

Why book our hog roast in Heathrow

  • Halloumi skewers and a vegan option too
  • The classics: stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • A clear quote with everything listed
  • Sides to make it a full meal

Rotisserie chicken

Chicken off the rotisserie, carved or jointed can be served in a roll or on a plate.

Salads, potatoes and coleslaw

Add salads, coleslaw and potatoes to make it a proper meal, especially at a sit-down event.

Before you choose a spot

The roaster needs space, cover and a safe distance from anything that could catch the heat. Things to check:

  • Somewhere for residents to eat comfortably
  • A named contact on the day
  • A spot that keeps access clear

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Organising for someone else?

For workplace bookings, ask your facilities team about outside caterers and gas cooking. We’ll fit in with site rules.

Event organisers often ask caterers for paperwork such as a risk assessment. Tell us what you need and we’ll tell you what we can send.

Heathrow questions

Is Heathrow close to London?

Roughly 16 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.

Is Heathrow too small for a hog roast?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.

Do we need our own staff?

Our chef carves and our staff serve, then clear the serving area afterwards.

Is mains power needed?

Not to cook, because the roaster is gas-fired. Tell us what’s available and we will plan around it.

What comes with the hog roast?

Roast pork carved into soft rolls with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. You can add lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options, salads, coleslaw and potatoes.

What about texture-modified diets?

We don’t prepare texture-modified meals; we will work alongside your kitchen.

What happens in bad weather?

We roast under cover, so the food isn’t affected. Your residents will want somewhere dry to eat.

What space does the roaster need?

Enough level ground outdoors for the roaster and a serving table under cover, and a way to wheel everything in. Send us a picture if you’re unsure.

How it works

Slow roasting is the whole point: the meat cooks gently until it’s tender while the skin turns into crackling. Then it rests briefly before our chef carves. For a summer hog roast day in Heathrow, residents can enjoy the garden in daylight until about 9:20pm, so an afternoon in the garden works well. In winter, dark by about 3:55pm, a lunchtime event is better.

  1. We start with the date and numbers.
  2. We agree the cooking spot and quote.
  3. The roast starts early.
  4. We serve inside or out.
  5. We clear away quietly.

Preparing for the day

  • Give us a contact number for the day
  • Make sure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
  • Gather dietary requirements early
