A hog roast near East Street

East Street: your questions answered

Is East Street too small for a hog roast?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and the cooking spot.

How far is East Street from London?

About 62 miles from central London.

Can you serve at our lunch call?

We plan the roast to your lunch call, and we’ll be ready.

Do you cover East Street?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, East Street and the rest of Kent included. Send us the address for a quote.

Do you do wrap parties?

We do. Send us the details.

Can you be flexible on serving time?

Because the roast takes hours, we plan from your serving time, and we can hold the roast for a while if the day runs behind.

Can we just hire the roaster?

Yes, we hire out the hog roast machine. We will explain what’s supplied and how it works when we quote.

When should we book?

Popular dates go early. But do ask even at short notice: send us your details through our quote form.

What happens on the day

Service is quick once we start carving: our chef carves and our staff fill the rolls or plates, with the sides served alongside. Afterwards we clear the serving area and pack away. In December, daylight in East Street ends around 3:50pm, so the unit base needs lighting for late service. In summer, light lasts until about 9:15pm.

  1. Send us the location, dates and lunch time.
  2. We check access to base and quote.
  3. We set up at base and roast through the morning.
  4. We serve when lunch is called.
  5. We pack away straight after.

How to prepare

  • Make sure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
  • Choose a level, open spot outdoors for the roaster
  • Check there’s nothing overhead or close by that could catch the heat

Planning help

Working with your venue

Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so it’s worth asking first. We will work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.

Booking for a club or group? One clear contact makes everything easier, especially on the day.

What we serve, dish by dish

Roast pork

The hog roasts slowly for hours, so the meat is tender and juicy, and it’s carved fresh as people come up.

Spit-roast lamb

With lamb as well, there are two roasts to choose from, which suits bigger events.

Is a hog roast right for your shoot?

At the end of a shoot, it is a relaxed way to finish. The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, along with distance and how easy the site is. There is no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.

Why book with us

  • Lamb, chicken and vegetarian options alongside
  • Cooked on the day, low and slow
  • The classics: stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • Planned to your running order
