A hog roast near The Stocks

How our film set catering works in The Stocks

The roaster cooks outdoors under cover, away from equipment and trucks, in a position locations are happy with. On the menu are rotisserie chicken, halloumi skewers and a vegan option, and we are regularly asked to cater unit base lunches and milestone days on set.

Near The Stocks, check tracks and ground with locations. The carving happens right in front of your crew, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp, and nothing sits in a hot cabinet.

The Stocks: your questions answered

Is The Stocks too small for a hog roast?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.

Is The Stocks close to London?

About 49 miles from central London.

Do you go to remote locations?

We can, given access details. Let us know about the route.

What comes with the hog roast?

Roast pork carved into soft rolls with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. You can add lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options, salads, coleslaw and potatoes.

Do you offer gluten-free rolls?

We can provide gluten-free rolls if you ask. Stuffing generally contains gluten, so check the allergen information.

Can we just hire the roaster?

DIY machine hire is available. We’ll confirm what comes with it and how to use it.

Do you clear up?

Our staff clear the serving area, so you’re not left with the mess.

Can you serve at our lunch call?

That is exactly how we work, holding the roast if lunch moves.

Why choose a hog roast in The Stocks?

At the end of a shoot, it is a relaxed way to finish. Extras such as lamb, chicken, more sides or china crockery add to the cost, so each one is itemised. Keeping it simple keeps it affordable.

The process
