About our hog roast hire in Pett Bottom

We roast the hog at your event, not in a kitchen miles away, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp when it is served. Add lamb, chicken or vegetarian options if you like. We are often asked to cater club events and presentations and garden parties and barbecues, with new potatoes, halloumi skewers and crackling.

Somewhere as small as Pett Bottom, a field, yard or garden is often the spot. Tell us about narrow lanes or long drives, and firm, level ground matters most. Our chef carves in front of your guests, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp, and nothing sits in a hot cabinet.

Booking for a club or group? One clear contact makes everything easier, especially on the day.

Marquee suppliers generally set distances for cooking equipment, so tell them a hog roast is coming. The roaster stays a safe distance from the marquee.

How we price a hog roast

We don’t use a fixed price list, since every event is different. The main factors are:

  • The serving time and how long we’re on site
  • Menu choices and extras
  • Whether you want china
  • The date and time of year

Travel matters for the price: we include travel in the quote. Give us the address for an accurate figure.

What to tell us

To check the date and the space, tell us:

  • An estimate of numbers
  • Any venue rules
  • Dietary requirements
  • Which meats and sides you’d like

Every quote lists the menu, the serving time, staff and plates, so it’s easy to compare like for like. Fill in our quote form.

  • Somewhere nearby to park our vehicle
  • Space away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

How the day works

On the day, we set up the roaster on the agreed spot, put the cover up and start the roast. From there it cooks low and slow for hours, timed so it is ready when you want to eat.
