Hog roast hire for St Lawrence
How our hog roast hire works in St Lawrence
We roast the hog at your event, not in a kitchen miles away, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp when it’s served. Lamb, chicken and vegetarian options can go alongside. We’re often asked to cater christmas parties and wedding breakfasts and evening food, with rotisserie chicken, crackling and halloumi skewers.
For a rural spot like St Lawrence, a hog roast feels right at home. Tell us about gates, tracks and the ground. Everything is cooked on the day, at your venue, slowly, over several hours, and carved only when you are ready to eat.

Stuffing and apple sauce
Stuffing and a dollop of apple sauce turn a pork roll into a hog roast roll, just as they should.
Roast pork
We carve as we serve, which keeps it hot and moist right to the last roll.
What the cooking area needs

- Somewhere nearby to park our vehicle
St Lawrence is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we will plan the journey.

Looking after everyone
Tell us about dietary needs early and we’ll help. Tips:
- Ask for gluten-free rolls if anyone needs them
- Tell guests what’s on the menu in advance
- Collect allergies with your RSVPs
- Tell us about vegetarians and vegans so we bring enough halloumi skewers and vegan burgers or sausages
Let us know if the day runs late: a cooked roast can be held for a while before carving.
Prefer to cook yourself? Ask about DIY machine hire.
The process
We get there well ahead of service, since slow roasting cannot be rushed. Your guests will smell it long before they see it. Light matters for a long roast: around St Lawrence, it stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, but by late December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so winter bookings need lighting from mid-afternoon.

DIY versus a catered hog roast
The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a whole hog takes hours, and it needs to be cooked through safely. If that sounds stressful, choose the catered option.
Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience, especially outdoors.
For planners, venues and organisers
If you’re booking for a workplace, check with facilities about gas equipment and vehicle access. We work to the site’s rules.
For venues and planners, we are happy to work alongside your team.
- Slow-roasted on site for hours, outdoors at your event
- Our chef carves the pork, with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling on the side
- Not just pork: spit-roast lamb, chicken and vegetarian choices
- Our team serves at your chosen time and clears up afterwards
