A hog roast or other catering?
Compared with a buffet, hot carved pork feels more special. Most of the cost is the meat, the staff and the time on site. Slow roasting means we’re on site for much of the day, which is built into the price.
Why us?
- Crackling for everyone who wants it
- Choices for people who don’t eat pork
- Self-contained: roaster, cover and serving kit
- Slow-roasted at your venue, not reheated

The process
From setting up to the last roll, we look after the food, so you can get on with your party in Titsey. In Titsey, late May sunsets come at about 8:50pm and midsummer ones at about 9:20pm, so an early-evening carve is normally in daylight. After about 3:55pm in December, we need light to carve.
- It starts with the date, the address and a rough guest list.
- We check the space and send a clear quote.
- On the day we arrive hours ahead and start the roast under cover.
- Our chef carves and our staff serve when you’re ready.
- We clear up and pack away.
How to prepare
- Keep the spot clear of buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches
- Send final numbers in good time
- Gather dietary requirements early

A few things make the biggest difference to the price:

Questions from Titsey
Do you cater at venues in the Kent Downs National Landscape?
Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules for caterers; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.
Is Titsey too small for a hog roast?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.
Can you cater in Titsey?
Yes. We cater across London and the South East, including Titsey and Surrey. Send us the address for a quote.
What about kids?
Most children like pork in a soft roll, and chicken or a vegan sausage covers fussy eaters.
Do we need our own staff?
You don’t need anyone else: we carve, serve and tidy up.
How much room do you need?
A level, open area outdoors with room for the roaster, a gazebo and a carving table, well clear of walls, tents and branches. We’ll confirm the space with your quote.
Can you work around our timings?
Because the roast takes hours, we plan from your serving time, and a cooked roast can be held for a while if things run late.
Can you cook inside a hall or marquee?
Outside, always. Serving indoors is generally fine if the venue is happy.
- Slow-roasted on site for hours, outdoors at your event
- Freshly carved pork with crackling, stuffing and apple sauce
- Lamb, chicken and vegetarian options alongside the pork
- Staff to serve at the agreed time, then clear away
