Wedding hog roast in Lower Hardres

Catered or do it yourself?

DIY hire works best when someone in the family loves cooking. For weddings and bigger events, a catered roast is usually easier.

Catered or DIY? With catering, our chef roasts, carves and serves, and our staff clear up. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.

About our wedding hog roast in Lower Hardres

The carving station becomes a focal point: people gather round as the chef carves. It’s food and a bit of theatre. For second-day get-togethers and late-night wedding food, we can cook carved roast pork, rotisserie chicken and new potatoes and more.

A wedding in a small place like Lower Hardres frequently means a field, a barn or a family garden. A hog roast is made for that: no kitchen, just level ground and cover. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. The carving happens right in front of your guests, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp.

Planning for dietary needs

With a bit of planning, dietary needs are easier to handle. Here are a few tips:

  • Ask for gluten-free rolls for coeliac guests
  • Note which guests don’t eat pork, for lamb, chicken or a vegetarian choice
  • Share the menu with your venue coordinator
  • Ask about dietary needs on your RSVP card

You won’t have to think about the food. We roast through the afternoon and carve at the agreed time.

Some couples add lights around the serving area.
