Book a BBQ in Brighton and Hove

How our BBQ catering works in Brighton and Hove

The point of a catered barbecue is that you get to enjoy it. We look after the grill, the serving and the clearing, while you look after your guests. Typical bookings include close and cul-de-sac parties and fundraising barbecues, with coleslaw, chicken skewers and halloumi skewers.

Birthdays, staff days and club events in Brighton and Hove all suit a catered barbecue. The common need is a spot outside for the grill. Everything is cooked through properly, with raw and cooked food kept apart.

A catered barbecue compared with other options

Instead of asking a friend to man the grill, a catered barbecue means everyone gets to be a guest, and the food is cooked by people who do it every week. Midweek and quieter months are often easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Ask us and we’ll suggest the best fit for your budget.

Why book our barbecue in Brighton and Hove

  • Served at the time you choose

Planning the cooking spot

A barbecue needs a level, open spot outdoors with cover. Here’s what we look for:

  • A gazebo, marquee or room indoors as a back-up
  • A spot well clear of buildings
  • Enough room for the grill, the serving table and a queue

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are a venue or event planner, we’re happy to work alongside your team.

Booking for a club or group? A single point of contact keeps things simple, particularly when timings shift.

How it works

Before service, we set up the grill and the serving table on the agreed spot. Then our chef cooks and the team serves through the time you’ve chosen. At midsummer, it is light in Brighton and Hove until about 9:20pm, so an evening barbecue can run late in daylight. In late September, it is dark by about 7:05pm.

  1. You tell us the date, the address, rough numbers and when you’d like to eat.
  2. We check availability and the space for the barbecue and send a clear quote.
  3. On the day we arrive in good time, put the cover up and get the barbecue hot.
  4. We cook and serve when you’re ready to eat.
  5. We pack everything away when everyone has eaten.

Getting ready for the day

  • Gather dietary requirements early
  • Choose the menu a week or so before
  • Confirm numbers ahead of the day

Barbecues in Brighton and Hove: gardens, clubs and local tips

Brighton and Hove is in England. We cover Brighton and Hove and its neighbours for events. We bring barbecues to 30 places across Brighton and Hove.

Thinking of a barbecue in Hove Park? Many parks ban barbecues, and catering needs the landowner’s permission, usually the council’s. After a christening at a church such as Holy Cross Church, a barbecue at home or a hall nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. The South Downs National Park is within about 7 miles of Brighton and Hove, a lovely setting for an outdoor barbecue. Venues there may restrict open cooking, so ask about their rules first. The sea is within about 3 miles of Brighton and Hove, so breezy days are common: a sheltered spot keeps the grill steady and the smoke away from the queue.

Events anywhere in BN3, BN41 and BN1 start with an outdoor spot for the barbecue and roughly how many guests. That could mean an event in a garden on New Church Road, Princes Square and Station Road or the roads around them, as long as there is somewhere outside to cook. You will find Brighton and Hove on the A270 and A293, which makes the journey straightforward.
