About our BBQ catering in Walthamstow Village
Barbecue food is at its best straight from the grill, which is why we cook and serve as your guests come up. Give us your serving time and we’ll plan around it. Typical bookings include fundraising days and relaxed weddings and evening receptions, with beef brisket, sausages and chicken skewers.
London gardens around Walthamstow Village are often small and close to neighbours, so we look for a spot where smoke drifts away from windows and fences. Warn the neighbours: barbecue smoke travels. Plates come as standard, and china crockery is available on request, quoted separately.

For planners, venues and organisers
If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, a PA or on a committee, let us know who we will deal with on the day. We will keep everyone in the loop.
For events on land you don’t own, such as a park or field, the landowner needs to agree to cooking and vehicles. Sort that first.
The menu, dish by dish
Chicken skewers
Chicken skewers are grilled on site, for guests who prefer chicken.
Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)
Vegetarians get halloumi and vegetable skewers, a hot, filling option of their own.
What BBQ catering costs
We do not use a fixed price list, since every event is different. The main factors are:
- Crockery choices
- Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
- Distance from us
- The number of people
Compare like for like: menu, sides, serving time, staff, plates and travel. A cheaper headline price can leave things out.
Details that help
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:
- Your date and serving time
- Dietary requirements
- Where the event is
- Roughly how many people
Busy weekends book up early, so ask early for summer Saturdays and December. Send us your date for a quote: use our quote form.
Common questions in Walthamstow Village
Could you cook in Lloyd Park?
Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Check with them first.
Can you get a barbecue into a London garden in Walthamstow Village?
Frequently, if there is a rear gate, a front garden or a yard we can use. Tell us about steps, gates and parking and we will advise.
Do you need anything from us?
Mostly space and access: somewhere level outside for the barbecue and the serving table. We’ll confirm details when we quote.
Can you do halal?
No, we do not offer halal meat. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, or halal food can be arranged separately.
Can you barbecue in bad weather?
The barbecue cooks under cover, so a shower does not stop it. Plan somewhere dry for your guests to eat.
Can it be a sit-down meal?
Yes. A barbecue works as a plated meal with sides; ask about china if you’d like it.
Is barbecued chicken safe?
Cooking properly is our job: separate equipment for raw and cooked food, and everything cooked through.
Will guests know what’s in each dish?
We give you allergen information for every dish, and we will label the meat-free choices clearly.

A catered barbecue compared with other options
Next to a hog roast, a barbecue gives more choice, with beef, chicken and pork rather than one main meat. A hog roast is the bigger spectacle, so for bigger events, why not both?. Weekday and off-season dates can be easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Ask us and we’ll suggest the best fit for your budget.
