Corporate hog roast in Breach

Your questions about a hog roast for your team in Breach

How far is Breach from London?

About 34 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Can you do a hog roast in Berengrave Chalk Pit?

Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Check with them first.

Can you roast in the rain?

We roast under cover, so the food isn’t affected. Your staff will want somewhere dry to eat.

Can a company book?

Send your requirements, and we will set out the terms with your quote.

Can you cater for vegetarians?

There are lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options: spit-roast lamb, rotisserie chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. We do not offer halal meat.

Can you serve a fixed lunch break?

Yes. We time the roast to be ready and serve quickly. Rolls keep service quick.

Do you leave the area tidy?

Our staff clear the serving area, and we take our equipment with us.

Do we need to provide electricity?

Not to cook, because the roaster is gas-fired. Tell us what’s available and we will plan around it.

Corporate hog roast in Breach, carved to order

Sites generally have rules for outside caterers: access, gas cooking and the cooking area. Tell us what your facilities team needs. For end-of-project celebrations and retirements and long-service awards, we will put together a menu of crackling, spit-roast lamb and rotisserie chicken for your staff.

For farms and rural sites near Breach, we can cook in the yard. Tell us about access. You will know what’s included before you book: the date, the serving time, the menu and the plates, with no surprises on the day.

How the day works

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, use the cooking spot you’ve chosen, and roast, carve and serve without fuss. After-work summer events in Breach have light until about 9:15pm at midsummer and 8:50pm in late May, so an after-work hog roast works well in summer. By late September, sunset is around 7:00pm.

  1. Start with the date, site and numbers.
  2. We sort access and send a quote.
  3. We roast on site.
  4. Service is fast once we carve.
  5. We clear up afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Think about shelter for your staff
  • Collect dietary needs and allergies in advance
  • Choose someone to meet us on arrival

Catered or do it yourself?

Roasting a whole hog yourself is possible, but it takes hours of attention, from setting up and lighting the roaster to carving. With us catering, you get to be a host, not a cook.

The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a big roast takes hours and must be cooked thoroughly. If that sounds stressful, choose the catered option.

Prices and what affects them

There’s no fixed price list, since every event is different. What matters most:

  • Time on site
  • Busy dates such as summer Saturdays
  • Plates or china
  • Which meats and sides you choose

The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, plus travel and access. There is no one-size price, so we quote each one individually.

What to tell us

When you enquire, it helps to include:

  • Any extras, such as lamb, chicken or china
  • Roughly how many people
  • The venue or postcode
  • Any dietary needs or allergies

Every quote lists the menu, the serving time, staff and plates, so it is easy to compare like for like. Use our quote form.

Looking after everyone

Not everyone eats pork, so it is worth adding an alternative. A few pointers:

  • Stuffing typically contains gluten, so check the allergen list
  • Ask staff about dietary needs in advance
  • Put the allergen list where people can see it
  • Ask for gluten-free rolls if needed

Let us know about changes: we can hold the roast for a short time.

China crockery is available for client events, quoted separately.
