Film set catering for your shoot in Havant
Whatever the production, we work to your schedule. Typical bookings include long shoot days and location days, serving new potatoes, salads and halloumi skewers.
Shoots in Havant frequently base in car parks. A hog roast suits any of them. We bring the roaster, the cover and everything we need to cook and serve, and we leave the spot tidy when we go.
Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
Next to grilling to order, carving is quicker for big numbers. For larger numbers, a hog roast is usually good value, since one roast goes a long way. The menu, extras such as china and the serving time all affect the final price.
Why book with us
- All the equipment comes with us
- Crackling for everyone who wants it
- Fresh carving at the serving station
- Salads, potatoes and coleslaw to go with it
See our pricing and the cost guide.
What a hog roast costs
Things that change the price:
- Numbers
- Menu choices and extras
- Access to the cooking area
- Plates or china
The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, along with distance and how easy the site is. There’s no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.
What to tell us
When you enquire, it helps to include:

- Your menu choices
- Where the event is
- Allergies we should know about
To get a quote, just send us your date, venue and numbers. A picture of where the roaster could go helps us check the space. Send us your details through our quote form.

Your questions about a hog roast for the crew in Havant
Is Havant close to London?
About 59 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.
Can you roast near the sea around Havant?
Yes, of course. Wind is something we plan for: a sheltered spot and secure cover.
Can you work around our timings?
We work back from when you want to eat, and a cooked roast can be held for a while if things run late.
What should we sort out beforehand?
Only the space and a contact number. We bring the roaster, cover and serving kit.
How long does a hog roast take to cook?
A whole hog roasts for several hours, so we arrive well before you want to eat. We plan the timings from when you want to eat.
What happens in bad weather?
We cook under a gazebo, so rain is not a problem for the roast. A marquee, hall or barn for eating makes all the difference.
Do you work to set times?
We plan the roast to your lunch call, and we will adjust where we can.
Do you bring plates?
We bring plates as standard. China crockery is available on request and quoted separately.
The process
When we arrive, we set up the roaster on the agreed spot, put the cover up and start the roast. It then roasts slowly for several hours, worked back from your serving time. Because the roast starts early, and in December Havant is dark by about 4:00pm, so we may set up under lights.
- Send us the location, dates and lunch time.
- We check access to base and quote.
- We set up at base and roast through the morning.
- We carve fast on the lunch call.
- We pack away straight after.
How to prepare
- Think about shelter for your crew
- Give us a contact number for the day
- Gather dietary requirements early
Ask for a quote
Every quote lists the menu, the serving time, staff and plates, so you can compare caterers fairly. Send us your details through our quote form.
