What happens on the day
A hog roast is always cooked outside, on a level, open spot under cover, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches. We’ll agree the spot with you beforehand. Early starts matter for a hog roast at base, and in December Horam is dark by about 3:55pm, so we may set up under lights.
- You send the location, date and lunch call.
- We check the route and send a price.
- We agree our position at base with the location manager.
- We roast through the morning and carve fast when lunch is called.
- We pack up and leave the base tidy.
Getting ready for the day

A hog roast or other catering?
Some productions combine a hog roast with their usual caterer. For larger numbers, a hog roast is typically good value, because one whole roast feeds a lot of people. The menu, extras such as china and the serving time all affect the final price.
