Hog roast hire in Kingsfold

Hog roast hire in Kingsfold, slow-roasted on site

There is nothing quite like the smell of a hog roast drifting across a garden or field. We roast slowly on site in Kingsfold, then carve the pork into rolls with all the trimmings. We serve spit-roast lamb, hog roast rolls and coleslaw, and typical bookings are for corporate events and birthdays and anniversaries.

For a rural spot like Kingsfold, a hog roast feels right at home. Let us know about access and ground conditions. Tell us about dietary needs and allergies when you enquire, and we’ll give you the allergen information for every dish.

Choosing a hog roast caterer

Why choose a hog roast in Kingsfold?

Next to a buffet, hot roast pork carved in front of you is a different experience. Buffets can sit out for hours. A hog roast is often good value for a crowd, since one roast goes a long way. Extras, china and longer service add to it.

Why book our hog roast in Kingsfold

  • Crackling for everyone who wants it
  • Serving and clearing done for you
  • Roasted on site, slowly, for hours
  • Planned to your running order

Read our prices page and our hog roast cost guide.

Full catering or machine hire?

Roasting a whole hog yourself is possible, but it takes hours of attention, from early set-up to carving at the end. A catered hog roast means you can enjoy the day.

Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience, especially outdoors.

What we serve, dish by dish

Crackling

For many people, the crackling is the best bit: golden, crunchy and salty.

Vegan burger or sausage (Ve)

For vegans, there is a vegan burger or sausage in a roll, so everyone has something hot.

Kingsfold questions

No, we come to small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.

No need for your own staff: our chef carves and our team serves and clears.

It’s built around the hog, but lamb and chicken can be added.

What a hog roast costs

Things that change the price:

  • Time on site
  • Distance from us
  • Season and day of the week
  • Numbers

Midweek and quieter months are often easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Ask us and we’ll suggest the best fit for your budget.

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to include:

  • Which meats and sides you’d like
  • Any dietary needs or allergies
  • Roughly how many people
  • The venue or postcode

Busy weekends book up early, so ask early for summer Saturdays and December. Send us your date for a quote: fill in our quote form.

Allergies and dietary needs

You will get allergen information for everything we serve. To help:

  • Count anyone who doesn’t eat pork, so we can bring lamb, chicken or vegetarian options
  • Tell us about vegetarians and vegans so we bring enough halloumi skewers and vegan burgers or sausages
  • We do not offer halal meat, so arrange that separately if it is needed
  • Remember that stuffing usually contains gluten, so check the allergen information

We will agree a contact for the day, who can show us the cooking spot and pass on any changes.

Prefer to cook yourself? Ask about DIY machine hire.

What happens on the day

The roaster cooks outdoors, under a gazebo on level ground, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches. We agree exactly where before the day. Around midsummer it stays light in Kingsfold until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so a summer evening hog roast is normally carved in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, we need light by the roaster and the serving table.

  1. You share the when, where and how many.
  2. We check the space and quote.
  3. We arrive early, set up under cover and start roasting.
  4. The chef carves and the team fills rolls or plates.
  5. We clear up and go.

Getting ready for the day

  • Check there is nothing overhead or close by that could catch the heat
  • Give us final numbers a week or so before
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
