About our party hog roast in Beam Park

After a christening near Beam Park, a hog roast at home means everyone eats together, and nobody misses the celebration. We are often asked to cater street parties and 18th, 21st, 40th, 50th and 60th birthdays, with coleslaw, rotisserie chicken and crackling.

In Beam Park, a party at home is the usual choice, and access is the question. If there’s no side gate, tell us about rear access or a front garden. A photo helps. Your quote spells out what’s included: the date, the serving time, the menu and the plates.

A garden party on a bright day with guests on the lawn

Looking after everyone

Rolls and stuffing typically contain gluten, and gluten-free rolls are available on request. Other tips:

  • Halal is not offered, so arrange it separately if needed
  • Ask for gluten-free rolls if anyone needs them
  • Add a dietary question to the invite
  • Tell us how many vegetarians and vegans to expect

If the party runs late, the roast can wait a little, so tell us if timings change.

Add chicken for younger or fussier guests.

Working with your venue

For events on land you do not own, such as a park or field, you’ll need the landowner’s permission for cooking and vehicles. Sort that first.

If you are a venue or event planner, we are happy to work alongside your team, sharing timings and a site plan.

What happens on the day

Your timings come first. If the day runs behind, a cooked roast can be kept hot for a while, so tell us as soon as plans change. Sunset in Beam Park is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June, so an early-evening carve is generally in daylight. After about 3:50pm in December, we need light to carve.

  1. You tell us the date, your address, rough numbers and when you’d like to eat.
  2. We check the date and the garden or drive, then send a quote.
  3. On the day we arrive hours ahead and start the roast under cover.
  4. When it’s time to eat, the chef carves and we serve.
  5. We pack away and leave the garden tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
  • Check there is a route to wheel the equipment in, without steps
  • Have a covered area for eating in case of rain

Hire the machine or book catering? DIY hire works for relaxed get-togethers; catering suits bigger or more important parties. Distance is part of the price: we include travel in the quote, with any London charges listed. Give us the address so the quote is accurate.

Why Beam Park hosts choose us

  • Carved by our chef in front of your guests
  • Staff to serve, so you do not have to
  • Roasted on site, slowly, for hours
  • Choices for people who do not eat pork

How we price a hog roast for your party

Each booking is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The menu and extras such as lamb or chicken
  • The date and time of year
  • Travel to Beam Park
  • Access to the cooking area

For larger numbers, a hog roast is generally good value, because one whole roast feeds a lot of people. The menu, extras such as china and the serving time all affect the final price.

Getting an accurate quote

Here’s what we’ll ask:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Any venue rules
  • Where the roaster could go, ideally with a photo
  • Which meats and sides you’d like

Busy weekends book up early, so ask early for summer Saturdays and December. Tell us your date and we will check it: fill in our quote form.
