Party hog roast in Egypt

Party hog roast in Egypt, carved to order

Hosting a party means juggling everything at once. A hog roast takes the food off your list: we cook, carve and serve. We are frequently asked to cater family reunions and getting-engaged parties, serving apple sauce, jacket potatoes and hog roast rolls.

Near Egypt, parties are often in gardens or fields. Let us know about access, and we will plan the route. Our chef carves in front of your guests, so every roll gets hot pork and a piece of crackling.

What comes off the roaster

Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)

Some guests will be vegetarian, and halloumi skewers give them a proper hot option.

Rotisserie chicken

Rotisserie chicken is there for anyone who’d rather not have pork, and children normally like it too.

For event organisers in Egypt

If the event is on someone else’s land, you will need the landowner’s permission for cooking and vehicles. Sort that first.

Venues often have rules for outside caterers, from approved lists to where a gas roaster can go. Check early, and pass on anything they need from us.

What affects the price in Egypt

Here’s what affects the price:

  • Which meats and sides you choose
  • The journey to the venue
  • The number of people
  • Plates or china

The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, along with distance and how easy the site is. There is no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.

What to tell us

These are the details we need:

  • Which meats and sides you’d like
  • The date and when you’d like to eat
  • An estimate of numbers
  • The address or postcode

Getting a quote is simple: date, place, numbers and serving time. You will get a clear quote listing what’s included. Send us your details through our quote form.

Diets, allergies and alternatives

A hog roast is pork, so plan for anyone who does not eat it. Here’s how to cover everyone:

  • Tell us how many vegetarians and vegans to expect
  • Think about children’s portions
  • Plan separately for anyone who needs halal food
  • Check the allergen list, as stuffing typically contains gluten

Warn the neighbours: the roast cooks for hours.

Bunting or festoon lights near the serving table make a lovely party setting.

A hog roast or other catering?

Hire the machine or book catering? DIY suits confident cooks and relaxed parties; catering suits bigger parties. Distance is part of the price: we include travel in the quote, with any London charges listed. Give us the address so the quote is accurate.

Why us?

  • Roasted on site, slowly, for hours
  • Carved by our chef in front of your guests
  • An itemised quote
  • A choice of salads and potatoes

  • Space for our vehicle near the drive
  • A heads-up for next door

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

How it works

We get there well ahead of service, since slow roasting can’t be rushed. Your guests will smell it long before they see it. In Egypt, late May sunsets come at about 8:55pm and midsummer ones at about 9:25pm, so an early-evening carve is usually in daylight. Winter parties, dark by about 4:00pm, need lights by the roaster.

  1. Send a picture of where the roaster could go.
  2. We check the space and quote.
  3. We cook for hours on site.
  4. Our staff serve rolls and sides.
  5. We leave the garden tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Choose someone to meet us on arrival
  • Give us final numbers a week or so before
  • Think about shelter for your guests

Common questions in Egypt

Can you cater after a service at Ebenezer Methodist Chapel?

Yes, at a nearby hall, home or venue with room to cook outside. Churches rarely have space for a hog roast, so the food is typically elsewhere. Send us the address.

How far is Egypt from London?

About 58 miles from central London, and well within our area.

What space does the roaster need?

Roughly the footprint of a gazebo or two, on level ground, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging trees. We will confirm the space with your quote.

Will there be enough to go round?

We size the roast to your numbers, so a good estimate matters. The quote sets it out.

What do you need from us on the day?

The agreed cooking area, access for our equipment and someone to meet us. We bring everything else.

What about the neighbours?

Give them a heads-up.

Does the roaster have to be outside?

Outside, always. The food can be carried in and served indoors where the venue allows.

Do you come to Egypt?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, Egypt and the rest of Hampshire included. Send us the address for a quote.

  • Slow-roasted on site for hours, outdoors at your event
  • Carved to order by our chef, with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • Not just pork: spit-roast lamb, chicken and vegetarian choices
  • Served by our staff at the time you choose, then cleared away
