Party hog roast in Eversley Centre, carved to order

Street parties and neighbourhood get-togethers suit a hog roast too, with the right permissions. Whether it’s ruby, golden and diamond anniversaries and milestone birthdays, we can cook a vegan burger or sausage, coleslaw and jacket potatoes.

Country parties near Eversley Centre suit a hog roast: slow-roasted and eaten outside. Plan shelter in case it rains. Our chef carves in front of your guests, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp, and nothing sits in a hot cabinet.

Planning for dietary needs

Some guests won’t eat pork, so it is worth adding an alternative. A few pointers:

  • Find out who does not eat pork for the alternatives
  • Halal isn’t offered, so arrange it separately if needed
  • Give us numbers for vegetarians and vegans
  • Add a dietary question to the invite

A cooked roast holds for a while, so tell us if timings change.

A string of lights by the carving station looks great as it gets dark.

  • Space for our vehicle near the drive
  • A step-free way into the garden
  • Space away from the house, fences, sheds and trees

Catered or do it yourself?

You could roast a hog yourself, but it is a long day’s work, from setting up and lighting the roaster to carving. With us catering, you get to be a host, not a cook.

Timing is the tricky part of roasting your own: a whole hog takes hours, and it needs to be cooked through safely. If that sounds stressful, choose the catered option.

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, use the cooking spot you’ve chosen, and get on with roasting and serving. By late September, sunset in Eversley Centre is about 7:05pm; by December it is about 3:55pm. Plan lights for the path and the food.

  1. It starts with the date, the address and a rough guest list.
  2. We check the space and send a clear quote.
  3. We arrive in good time and start roasting.
  4. When it is time to eat, the chef carves and we serve.
  5. We pack away and leave the garden tidy.

How to prepare

  • Think about shelter for your guests
  • Plan a step-free way in for the equipment
  • Check there’s nothing overhead or close by that could catch the heat

How to get a price

To get a quote, just send us your date, venue and numbers. A picture of the cooking area helps. Send us your details through our quote form.

Your questions about a hog roast for your party in Eversley Centre

We are gathering after a service at Church of St Mary: can you cater?

Yes, at a nearby hall, home or venue with room to cook outside. Food is usually served at the reception venue rather than the church. Send us the address.

What’s the nearest station to Eversley Centre?

The closest is Crowthorne station, roughly 2.5 miles away.

Does the roaster have to be outside?

No, the roast is always cooked outdoors under cover, at a safe distance from walls and tents. Serving inside is often possible, with the venue’s agreement.

What do you need from us on the day?

Only the space and a contact number. We bring the roaster, cover and serving kit.

How much room do you need?

Enough level ground outdoors for the roaster and a serving table under cover, and a way to wheel everything in. A photo helps.

When should we book?

The earlier the better for popular dates. But it’s always worth asking: use our quote form.

Can we hire the machine and cook it ourselves?

Yes, we hire out the hog roast machine. We will confirm what comes with it and how to use it.

What about kids?

Plain pork rolls go down well with children, and chicken or a vegan sausage covers fussy eaters.

For planners, venues and organisers

For workplace bookings, ask your facilities team about outside caterers and gas cooking. We will fit in with site rules.

Marquee suppliers usually set distances for cooking equipment, so tell them a hog roast is coming. We’ll keep the roaster well clear of the marquee.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Compared with a restaurant booking, a hog roast at home lets everyone relax in the garden. When comparing prices, compare the same things: the menu, sides, service time, staffing, crockery and travel. The cheapest quote isn’t always the best value.

Why us?

  • Halloumi skewers and a vegan option too
  • All the equipment comes with us
  • Serving and clearing done for you
  • Roasted on site, slowly, for hours

How to compare hog roast caterers

The menu, dish by dish

Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)

Not everyone eats meat, so halloumi and vegetable skewers make sure they’re not left with just salad.

Rolls and gluten-free rolls

Everything goes into a soft roll, easy to eat standing up. Ask for gluten-free rolls if you need them.

  • Slow-roasted on site for hours, outdoors at your event
  • Carved by our chef into rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • Options beyond pork, including lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes
  • Our team serves at your chosen time and clears up afterwards
