Party hog roast near Three Chimneys
Hosting a party means juggling everything at once. With a hog roast, the food is sorted: we roast, carve, serve and clear. We’re frequently asked to cater getting-engaged parties and leaving and retirement do’s, serving rotisserie chicken, jacket potatoes and hog roast rolls.
In a small place like Three Chimneys, a party in the garden or a nearby field is often the plan. Tell us about lanes and ground, and we will handle the rest. You’ll know what’s included before booking: serving times, the menu, staff and anything else agreed, with no surprises on the day.
Planners, venues and businesses
Some venues add a fee for outside caterers, so it’s worth asking first. We will liaise with them on access and set-up.
If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, a PA or on a committee, tell us who our contact on the day will be. We will keep you both updated.

Three Chimneys: your questions answered
Do you come out to small places like Three Chimneys?
No, we come to small places too. Let us know about access and the cooking spot.
Can you do a hog roast at a venue in the High Weald National Landscape?
Yes. Some venues there have rules about cooking and vehicles, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.
How soon do you get booked up?
The earlier the better for popular dates. But do ask even at short notice: use our quote form.
Does the roaster have to be outside?
No, the roast is always cooked outdoors under cover, away from buildings and marquee walls. Serving inside is frequently possible, with the venue’s agreement.
What should we sort out beforehand?
Just the agreed spot and a contact on the day. We bring the roaster, cover and serving kit.
Can we cook it ourselves?
Yes, DIY machine hire is available. We will talk you through it when we quote.
Can you be flexible on serving time?
Because the roast takes hours, we plan from your serving time, and a cooked roast can be held for a while if things run late.
Can you cater for vegetarians?
The menu has lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options. We do not provide halal meat.
What happens on the day
When we arrive, we set up the roaster on the agreed spot, put the cover up and start the roast. It then roasts slowly for several hours, worked back from your serving time. A summer party in Three Chimneys stays light until about 9:15pm at midsummer, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:00pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.
- Send a picture of where the roaster could go.
- We confirm it works and send a quote.
- We cook for hours on site.
- Our staff serve rolls and sides.
- We leave the garden tidy.
Before we arrive
- Gather dietary requirements early
- Give us a contact number for the day
- Have a covered area for eating in case of rain
