Wedding hog roast in Fenn Street, slow-roasted on site

We look after guests who don’t eat pork: spit-roast lamb, rotisserie chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers and a vegan option. We do not offer halal meat. For vow renewals and blessings and wedding breakfasts with sides, we can cook salads, crackling and spit-roast lamb and more.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Fenn Street, and a whole hog roasting through the afternoon adds to it. Plan firm ground and a route for our vehicle. Plates come as standard, and china crockery is available on request, quoted separately.

About the food

Roast pork

Hours of slow roasting make the pork soft and full of flavour, and our chef carves it to order.

Salads, potatoes and coleslaw

Choose from salads, new potatoes, coleslaw and roast or jacket potatoes, to suit your event.

A hog roast compared with other options

Next to a cold buffet, hot carved pork beats sandwiches every time late at night. Distance is part of the price: we include travel in the quote, with any London charges listed. Give us the address for an accurate figure.

What you get with us

  • Cooked on the day, low and slow
  • Serving and clearing done for you
  • Halloumi skewers and a vegan option too
  • No surprises: everything in writing

Read our pricing or the cost guide.

Should I cook it myself?

A barbecue is the other obvious choice, but someone ends up cooking in batches all afternoon. With a hog roast, one roast feeds everyone at once.

Full catering or machine hire? Catered means we do everything: roasting, carving, serving and clearing. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.

The process

Here’s how the day generally runs: we arrive, set up under cover and start roasting, the roast cooks gently through the day, and our chef carves it when you’re ready. Golden-hour photos in Fenn Street at midsummer come around 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We check the venue’s rules and the date, then quote.
  3. We fit timings around your running order.
  4. We roast during the day, then carve at the agreed time.
  5. We serve, tidy up and slip away.

Preparing for the day

  • Make sure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
  • Send final numbers in good time
  • Gather dietary requirements early
