Wedding hog roast in Southington
Wedding hog roast in Southington, slow-roasted on site
For the wedding breakfast, a hog roast becomes a plated meal: carved pork with salads, new potatoes or roast potatoes, with china available on request. For vow renewals and blessings and barn and farm weddings, we will put together a menu of spit-roast lamb, halloumi skewers and crackling and more.
Near Southington, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. A hog roast is made for that: no kitchen, just level ground and cover. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Let us know about allergies and dietary needs in advance, and we will tell you exactly what’s in each dish before booking.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
A common mix is a plated meal followed by an evening hog roast; others make the hog roast the main meal. What you pay covers the meat, the chef and staff, and hours of roasting. Slow roasting means we’re on site for much of the day, and the quote reflects that.

DIY versus a catered hog roast
The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a whole hog takes hours, and it needs to be cooked through safely. If you’d rather not worry about it, let us cook.
Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience, especially outdoors.
Diets, allergies and alternatives
Tell us about dietary needs early and we’ll help. Some ideas:
- Request gluten-free rolls if needed
- Put a dietary question on the invitation
- Give final numbers in good time
- Halal isn’t offered, so plan separately if needed
Give us your venue coordinator’s details, so we can sort the cooking spot and timings with them.
Ask for gluten-free rolls for any coeliac guests.
