Wedding hog roast in West Farleigh, carved to order

Not every guest eats pork, so we plan for that: lamb, chicken, halloumi skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. We don’t offer halal meat. On the menu are salads, spit-roast lamb and crackling, and we are often booked for evening food after the first dance and farm weddings.

A wedding in a small place like West Farleigh often means a field, a barn or a family garden. That’s where a hog roast shines: no kitchen needed, just an outdoor cooking spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Let us know about allergies and dietary needs in advance, and we’ll give you the allergen information for every dish.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Compared with a cold evening buffet, hot rolls carved to order go down much better. Most of the cost is the meat, the staff and the time on site. Slow roasting means we’re on site for much of the day, and the quote reflects that.

Why us?

  • Choices for people who do not eat pork
  • Crackling for everyone who wants it
  • Slow-roasted at your venue, not reheated
  • We bring everything to cook and serve

How it works

The secret is time: the meat cooks gently until it is tender while the skin turns into crackling. Then it rests briefly before our chef carves. Golden-hour photos in West Farleigh at midsummer come around 9:15pm, so we can time the carving before or after your sunset photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. We start with your date, venue, numbers and running order.
  2. We check the venue’s rules and the date, then send a quote.
  3. We agree arrival, cooking spot and serving times with you and your venue.
  4. We roast during the ceremony and drinks, then carve at the agreed time.
  5. We clear away once everyone has eaten.

FAQs for West Farleigh

How far is West Farleigh from London?

About 29 miles from central London.

Can you do a hog roast in Quarry Wood?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council, and many parks do not allow cooking. Ask them first.

Do you need power or water?

Not to cook, because the roaster is gas-fired. Let us know what’s on site.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can for summer weekends and December. For other dates, a few weeks can be enough. Ask and we will check.

Do you cover West Farleigh?

Yes. We cater across London and the South East, West Farleigh and the rest of Kent included. Send us the address for a quote.

How do we prepare?

A clear, level cooking spot, a route to wheel the equipment in and a contact for the day. We bring everything else.

Will there be enough to go round?

The roast is chosen to suit how many you’re feeding, so a good estimate matters. We’ll confirm the menu in the quote.

Where will the roaster go at our wedding?

We cook outside, never inside the marquee, and we agree the spot with your venue.

What we serve, dish by dish
