BBQ catering for Spitalfields

Planning the cooking spot

Most outdoor spaces work for a barbecue if a few things are right. Check these:

  • A step-free route to wheel the equipment in
  • Enough room for the grill, the serving table and a queue
  • A thought for the wind direction, so smoke drifts away from guests

Spitalfields is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access can be tight: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

BBQ catering in Spitalfields, served hot

A barbecue is one of the easiest ways to feed a crowd in Spitalfields: plenty of choice, nothing fussy and everyone happy. With us cooking, nobody you know spends the afternoon at the grill. Whether it is fundraising days and reunions and family get-togethers, we’ll put together a menu of halloumi skewers, sausages and pulled pork for your guests.

In a London neighbourhood like Spitalfields, the big question for a barbecue is where the grill can go. Many terraced houses have no side access, so tell us about a rear gate, a front garden or a yard, and a photo helps us check. Tell us about dietary needs and allergies when you enquire, and we will tell you exactly what’s in each dish.

Organising for someone else?

Some venues add a fee for outside caterers, so check before you book. We will work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.

For venues and planners, we are happy to work alongside your team, sharing timings and a site plan.

The process

Before service, we set up the grill and the serving table on the agreed spot. Then our chef cooks and the team serves through the time you’ve chosen. Evening barbecues in Spitalfields need a little planning: it’s light until about 9:20pm in June but only about 7:05pm in late September. Plan lights for the serving area after that.

  1. Show us the space.
  2. We confirm it works and send a quote.
  3. We grill outdoors at your event.
  4. We serve as your guests come up.
  5. We clear up so you do not have to.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about narrow gates or side passages
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
  • Think about shelter for your guests

Questions from Spitalfields

What if our house in Spitalfields has no side access?

It depends on access: a rear gate or yard usually works. Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Which station is closest to Spitalfields?

Spitalfields has its own station: London Liverpool Street station.

Is the meat halal?

We don’t offer halal. Our meat-free options are there, or halal food would need to be arranged separately.

Can you barbecue in bad weather?

The cooking area is covered, so it’s guests who need a wet-weather plan.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can for summer weekends and December. For other dates, a few weeks can be enough. Send your date and we’ll check.

Do you cook the barbecue on site?

Yes, on site at your venue in Spitalfields. We need a level, open area outdoors with room for the grill and a serving table.

Is clearing up included?

Yes, we clear up after service. Ask if you’d like china.

Do you label the food for allergies?

We give you allergen information for every dish, and we can label the vegetarian and vegan options.
