About the food
Rolls and gluten-free rolls
Rolls or plates? Rolls are quicker; plates suit a sit-down meal, with gluten-free rolls on request.
Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)
Some visitors will be vegetarian, so halloumi and vegetable skewers make sure they’re not left with just salad.
How our hog roast for events works in Wembley
School fairs and sports days need food that families like. There are options for most visitors. We are often asked to cater community days and street fairs and church and village fêtes, serving rotisserie chicken, halloumi skewers and a vegan burger or sausage.
In Wembley, street events mean planning closures and access. Send us the pitch and timings. We plan the timings around your day, because the roast has to start hours before you eat, so the food is ready at the right moment.

- Stuffing normally contains gluten
- Show allergens at the stall
- Ask for gluten-free rolls if you expect coeliac visitors
Give us a contact on the day.
Coleslaw goes well with pork rolls.
A hog roast compared with other options
Compared with burger vans, a hog roast feels more special. Numbers make the biggest difference: the price per head usually falls as numbers rise, because the roaster, staff and travel cost much the same either way.

Questions from Wembley
Can you come to a school fair in Wembley?
Yes, with the school’s permission. Send us the date and where the roaster would go.
Can you do a hog roast in Preston Park?
Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them first, and tell us what they say.
What paperwork do you provide?
Tell us what your event requires, and we’ll tell you what we can send.
Can you sell directly to visitors?
It depends on how your event works. Let us know how you’d like it to work and we will discuss the options.
What do people get?
The classic: pork in rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. Sides and extra meats are listed in your quote.
Do you trade at village fêtes?
A hog roast suits a fête perfectly. Ask for details.
Can you work around our timings?
We work back from when you want to eat, and we can hold the roast for a while if the day runs behind.
What about visitors who do not eat pork?
The menu has lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options. We don’t provide halal meat.
Should I cook it myself?
You could roast a hog yourself, but it is a long day’s work, from early set-up to carving at the end. A catered hog roast means you can enjoy the day.
We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You do the roasting and carving; we’ll explain what’s supplied and how it works when we quote.
How the day works
Slow roasting is the whole point: hours of gentle heat make the pork soft and juicy while the skin turns into crackling. Then it rests briefly before our chef carves. In late May, sunset in Wembley is about 8:55pm, while at midsummer it’s about 9:20pm. After dark, the stall needs lighting.
- Share the date, site and expected crowds.
- We agree how food will be paid for.
- We roast on the pitch.
- Carving keeps the queue moving.
- We clear up and go.
Before we arrive
- Choose someone to meet us on arrival
- Tell us about narrow gates or side passages
- Make sure the cooking area is away from walls, tents and trees
Getting a price
Send us the date, the address or HA9 postcode and rough numbers, plus when you’d like to eat. We’ll check the date and send a quote. Fill in our quote form.

Space, access and the venue
A good cooking spot makes the day run smoothly. Ideally:
- A vehicle route onto the pitch
- Any paperwork the organisers need
- Room for a queue that doesn’t block paths
Wembley is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access can be tight: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.
Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.
