Hog roast hire in Denbigh, carved to order
People book a hog roast in Denbigh for everything from birthdays to fêtes. The idea is always the same: a slow roast on site, carved fresh and served by our team. Typical bookings include milestone birthdays and wakes, with rotisserie chicken, halloumi skewers and salads.
In a smaller place like Denbigh, a hog roast in the garden is frequently the simplest option: space to cook, no venue hire and no cooking for you. Let us know how we reach the garden. The carving happens right in front of your guests, so every roll gets hot pork and a piece of crackling.

Space, access and the venue
Before the day, it helps to think about where the roaster will go. The ideal spot has:
- Parking near the spot
- A level, open spot outdoors for the roaster
- A way to wheel the roaster to the spot
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

A closer look at the menu
Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)
For vegetarians, halloumi and vegetable skewers are cooked separately from the meat, so they get something hot and satisfying too.
Crackling
Crackling takes hours to get right, and a whole hog roasted slowly gets it just right.
Catered or do it yourself?
You could go for a cold buffet, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you, especially outdoors.
Catered or DIY? With catering, our chef roasts, carves and serves, and our staff clear up. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.
Your questions about a hog roast in Denbigh
Is Denbigh close to London?
About 44 miles from central London.
Could you cook in Waterhall Park?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council, and many parks don’t allow cooking. Ask them first, and tell us what they say.
Do we need our own staff?
You do not need anyone else: we carve, serve and tidy up.
Do we need a big space?
It depends on the space and access more than size. Describe the space and we will tell you honestly.
Can you cook inside a hall or marquee?
The roaster always stays outside, under cover, at a safe distance from walls and tents. We can frequently serve indoors if the venue agrees.
What if it rains?
The roaster is under cover, so a shower doesn’t stop us. Your guests will want somewhere dry to eat.
Can we hire the machine and cook it ourselves?
DIY machine hire is available. We will explain what’s supplied and how it works when we quote.
Can we choose catered or DIY?
Both are available: we can cater fully or hire out the machine. Catering is the most popular choice.

- We don’t offer halal meat, so arrange that separately if it’s needed
- Tell guests what’s on the menu in advance
- Stuffing normally contains gluten, so check the allergen information
Slow roasting needs attention, which is our job, not yours. You can get on with your event.
Salads, coleslaw and potatoes make it a full meal.

Prices and what affects them
The price comes down to:
- Season and day of the week
- The number of people
- How easy it is to reach the spot
- Which meats and sides you choose
Midweek and quieter months are frequently easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Ask us and we’ll suggest the best fit for your budget.
What we need to know
Here’s what we’ll ask:
- Allergies we should know about
- The date and time of the event
- Anything the venue has asked for
- Rough numbers
Busy weekends book up early, so ask early for summer Saturdays and December. Send us your date for a quote: fill in our quote form.
How it works
We arrive hours before you want to eat, since slow roasting can’t be rushed. The smell usually brings people over long before we carve. Around midsummer it stays light in Denbigh until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is generally in daylight. For winter events, dark by about 3:55pm, we need light by the roaster and the serving table.
- You tell us the date, the address, rough numbers and when you’d like to eat.
- We check availability and the space for the roaster and send a clear quote.
- On the day we arrive hours before serving and start the roast under cover.
- Our chef carves to order and our staff serve at the agreed time.
- Afterwards we clear up and leave the spot tidy.
Getting ready for the day
- Collect dietary needs and allergies in advance
- Tell us about narrow gates or side passages
- Plan somewhere sheltered for people to eat if it rains

Why choose a hog roast in Denbigh?
Full catering or machine hire? Catering means we do everything; DIY hire means you roast and carve yourself. For bigger events, catering is typically the easier choice. When comparing prices, compare the same things: the menu, sides, service time, staffing, crockery and travel. The cheapest quote isn’t always the best value.
