Hog roast hire in Furnace Green
Hog roast hire in Furnace Green, carved to order
In Furnace Green, a hog roast is an easy way to feed a lot of people: a single slow roast, carved to order. We bring the roaster, the cover and the serving kit, and we serve and tidy up afterwards. We are frequently asked to cater weddings and receptions and christmas parties, with rotisserie chicken, spit-roast lamb and salads.
In a smaller place like Furnace Green, a hog roast in the garden is frequently the simplest option: plenty of room, no hire fees and nobody stuck in the kitchen. Let us know how we reach the garden. You’ll know what’s included before you book: serving times, the menu, staff and anything else agreed, with no surprises on the day.

What comes off the roaster
Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)
Some guests will be vegetarian, and halloumi skewers give them a proper hot option.
Salads, potatoes and coleslaw
Choose from salads, new potatoes, coleslaw and roast or jacket potatoes, depending on the season and the occasion.
Should I cook it myself?
A DIY hog roast suits a relaxed party where someone enjoys cooking. For weddings and bigger events, a catered roast is typically easier.
Roasting a whole hog yourself is possible, but it takes hours of attention, from early set-up to carving at the end. With us catering, you get to be a host, not a cook.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
Next to a barbecue, a hog roast cooks in one go and is carved for everyone, instead of food coming off the grill in batches. See our guide to hog roast or barbecue. A hog roast is often good value for a crowd, since one roast goes a long way. Extras, china and longer service add to it.
Why us?

- Choices for people who do not eat pork

How the day works
The roaster cooks outdoors, on a level, open spot under cover, well clear of walls, tents and trees. We agree exactly where before the day. Evenings in Furnace Green stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the serving area and the path to it need good lighting.
- First, you send us your date, address, numbers and serving time.
- You get a check on the date and the spot, and a quote.
- On the day we arrive hours before serving and start the roast under cover.
- At serving time, the chef carves and the team serves.
- Afterwards we clear up and leave the spot tidy.

Planning help
Allergies and dietary needs
A little planning helps everyone eat safely. A few tips:
- Stuffing normally contains gluten, so ask for the allergen list
- Ask about allergies when you send invitations
- Ask for gluten-free rolls if anyone needs them
- Ask us to keep the vegetarian food separate and labelled
Let us know if the day runs late: a cooked roast can be held for a while before carving.
Add lamb or chicken for a second roast.
Planners, venues and businesses
Some venues charge a fee if you bring in your own caterer, so check before booking. We’ll work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.
Many venues set rules for outside caterers, including where gas cooking is allowed. Check early, and tell us what they ask for.
