Hog roast hire for Southfields
About our hog roast hire in Southfields
With hog roast hire, the cooking happens at your event, so the pork is hot and the crackling is crisp when it is served. Add lamb, chicken or vegetarian options if you like. Popular choices include spit-roast lamb, coleslaw and rotisserie chicken, and we are often booked for big birthdays and anniversaries and parties at home.
Gardens in Southfields tend to be compact, with neighbours on both sides, so clearance from fences and windows matters most. A word with the neighbours before a long roast is always a good idea. The hog is roasted on site at your event, slowly, over several hours.

What a hog roast costs
We don’t use a fixed price list, since every event is different. The main factors are:
- Menu choices and extras
- Access to the cooking area
- Season and day of the week
- Whether you want china
When comparing prices, compare the same things: menu, sides, serving time, staff, plates and travel. The cheapest quote isn’t always the best value.
Details that help
Here’s what we’ll ask:
- Any venue rules
- Roughly how many people
- What the outdoor space is like
- Which meats and sides you’d like
Getting a quote is simple: date, place, numbers and serving time. We’ll reply with a clear price and what’s included. Use our quote form.
Planning the cooking spot
The right spot for the roaster makes everything easier. Ideally:
- Cover for your guests in bad weather
- A step-free route to wheel the equipment in
- Somewhere nearby to park our vehicle
As a London location, Southfields is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.
Popular choices

Allergies and dietary needs
Some guests will not eat pork, so plan an alternative. A few pointers:
- Remember that stuffing usually contains gluten, so check the allergen information
- Give us numbers for vegetarians and vegans for the halloumi skewers and vegan option
- If anyone needs halal food, plan a separate option
- Ask us to keep the vegetarian food separate and labelled
We bring the cover, the carving table and the serving kit, so all you need is the space.
Add lamb or chicken for a second roast, priced in the quote.

Catered or do it yourself?
The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a big roast takes hours and must be cooked thoroughly. If you’d rather not worry about it, let us cook.
You could go for a cold buffet, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience, especially outdoors.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet
Compared with food vans, a hog roast serves a lot of people from one roast, with no waiting for individual orders to cook. UK price guides vary widely: roughly £10 a head for a simple roll, rising past £20 with more included. We quote every event individually, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Why book with us
