On your wedding day, the food should look after itself. We arrive hours before serving, roast through the day and carve on cue.

Wedding hog roast in Southfields, carved to order

For a relaxed wedding in Southfields, a hog roast hits the right note: generous, hearty food carved in front of your guests. Our staff serve and clear, so the day runs smoothly. For late-night wedding food and barn and farm weddings, we’ll put together a menu of crackling, spit-roast lamb and new potatoes.

Couples in Southfields frequently hold the reception at a local venue or at home. We need an outdoor cooking area clear of the venue, so check with the venue early. Let us know about allergies and dietary needs in advance, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s in each dish.

What we serve, dish by dish

Salads, potatoes and coleslaw

Choose from salads, new potatoes, coleslaw and roast or jacket potatoes, depending on the season and the occasion.

Roast pork

We carve as we serve, which keeps it hot and moist right to the last roll.

A hog roast compared with other options

Compared with a three-course plated meal, a hog roast is more relaxed and frequently better value. It still feels special. Numbers make the biggest difference: the price per head typically falls as numbers rise, because the roaster, staff and travel cost much the same either way.

What you get with us

  • Cooked on the day, low and slow
  • Our staff serve and clear
  • Timed around your day
  • Self-contained: roaster, cover and serving kit

See our pricing or the cost guide.

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we position the roaster under cover and get the hog cooking. From there it cooks low and slow for hours, worked back from your serving time. Golden-hour photos in Southfields at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the carving before or after your sunset photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We confirm the date and the venue and send a price.
  3. We agree timings with your venue coordinator.
  4. The hog roasts through the afternoon; our chef carves on cue.
  5. We serve, tidy up and slip away.

What affects the price in Southfields

Every booking is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Travel to Southfields
  • Numbers
  • Crockery choices
  • Which meats and sides you choose

When comparing prices, compare the same things: the menu, sides, service time, staffing, crockery and travel. A cheaper headline price can leave things out.

Getting an accurate quote

To check availability and the cooking area, tell us:

  • Your menu choices
  • Where the event is
  • Any dietary needs or allergies
  • Rules from the venue or landowner

We need a few details to quote: the date and serving time, the venue or SW18 postcode, rough numbers and which extras you’d like. Send us your details through our quote form.

  • What the cooking area needs: space, cover and access

Choosing a hog roast caterer

For planners, venues and organisers

For events on land you do not own, such as a park or field, you will need the landowner’s permission for cooking and vehicles. Get that agreed before booking.

Event organisers often ask caterers for paperwork such as a risk assessment. Tell us what you need and we’ll confirm what we can provide.

Catered or do it yourself?

A DIY hog roast suits a relaxed party where someone enjoys cooking. For bigger or more formal events, catering takes the pressure off.

A barbecue is the other obvious choice, but someone ends up cooking in batches all afternoon. With a hog roast, one roast feeds everyone at once.
