How we price a hog roast for your party
We don’t use a fixed price list, since every event is different. The main factors are:
- Site access
- Distance from us
- Whether you want china
- The number of people
Distance is part of the price: travel is included in your quote. Tell us the exact address for an accurate figure.
What to tell us
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:
- A photo of the cooking area
- Anything the venue has asked for
- Any dietary needs or allergies
- An estimate of numbers
A quote from us sets out the menu, timings, staffing and what’s included, so you can compare caterers fairly. Fill in our quote form.
Party hog roast in Radfall, carved to order
Milestone birthdays call for something special, and a whole hog roasting in the garden is exactly that. Your guests will smell it from the street. We’re often asked to cater street parties and anniversary parties, with a vegan burger or sausage, coleslaw and apple sauce.
Country parties near Radfall suit a hog roast: slow-roasted and eaten outside. Have a covered area for guests in wet weather. Everything is cooked on the day, at your venue, slowly, over several hours, and carved only when you’re ready to eat.
Planners, venues and businesses
If you are booking for a workplace, check with facilities about gas equipment and vehicle access. We work to the site’s rules.
If you’re a venue or event planner, we’re happy to work alongside your team.

Catered or do it yourself?
Some hosts try a barbecue instead, but someone ends up cooking in batches all afternoon. With a hog roast, one roast feeds everyone at once.
Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you.
Radfall questions
What’s the nearest station to Radfall?
Chestfield & Swalecliffe station, about 1.5 miles north of the centre.
Do you come out to small places like Radfall?
No, we come to small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground.
Do you need power or water?
Not to cook, because the roaster is gas-fired. Let us know what’s on site.
How do you work out quantities?
We plan quantities from the numbers you give us, and we will talk it through when we quote.
Do you clear up?
Our staff clear the serving area, and we take our equipment with us.
What happens in bad weather?
We cook under a gazebo, so rain isn’t a problem for the roast. A marquee, hall or barn for eating makes all the difference.
What about guests who do not eat pork?
There are lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options: spit-roast lamb, rotisserie chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. We do not offer halal meat.
How much room do you need?
A flat, open spot outside, and a way to wheel everything in. A photo helps.
A closer look at the menu
Roast pork
Everything starts with the slow-roasted pork: carved in front of you, a mix of shoulder and leg, and served hot.
Stuffing and apple sauce
No hog roast roll is complete without sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce, cutting through the richness of the pork.
Step by step
Here’s how the day typically runs: the roaster goes up and the hog goes on, the pork cooks slowly for hours, and our chef carves it when you’re ready. In Radfall, late May sunsets come at about 8:45pm and midsummer ones at about 9:15pm, so most summer parties eat in daylight. After about 3:50pm in December, we need light to carve.
- Send a photo of where the roaster could go.
- We confirm it works and send a quote.
- We cook for hours on site.
- Our staff serve rolls and sides.
- We clear up so you do not have to.
Getting ready for the day
- Give us a contact number for the day
- Make sure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
- Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
