Party hog roast near West Hampstead

For a relaxed party, you can hire the machine and cook it yourself. Most hosts prefer us to do it, and spend time with their guests. Typical bookings include retirement celebrations and garden parties, with coleslaw, crackling and a vegan burger or sausage.

In West Hampstead, a party at home is the usual choice, and access is the question. If there’s no side gate, tell us about rear access or a front garden. Send us a photo. We bring the people to serve and clear up, so nobody in your party has to serve or tidying up afterwards.

The menu, dish by dish

Roast pork

Our chef carves the pork as it’s needed, so it stays hot and juicy right to the last roll.

Salads, potatoes and coleslaw

Salads, new potatoes, coleslaw and roast or jacket potatoes turn rolls into a full meal, especially at a sit-down event.

Catered or do it yourself?

Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you, especially outdoors.

A barbecue is the other obvious choice, but someone has to stand at the grill all day. A hog roast cooks in one go and is carved for everyone.

Planners, venues and businesses

For workplace bookings, check with facilities about gas equipment and vehicle access. We work to the site’s rules.

For venues and planners, we are happy to work alongside your team.

Step by step

On the day, we position the roaster under cover and get the hog cooking. From there it cooks low and slow for hours, timed so it’s ready when you want to eat. In West Hampstead, late May sunsets come at about 8:55pm and midsummer ones at about 9:20pm, so an early-evening carve is usually in daylight. Winter parties, dark by about 3:55pm, need lights by the roaster.

  1. Tell us about your party: date, address and numbers.
  2. We check the space and send a price.
  3. We set up hours ahead.
  4. At food time, the chef carves and we serve.
  5. We tidy up and pack away.

Diets, allergies and alternatives

With a bit of planning, dietary needs are easier to handle. A few tips:

  • Plan separately for anyone who needs halal food
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Check the allergen list, as stuffing usually contains gluten
  • Count non-pork eaters so we can bring chicken or a vegetarian option

We set up where we agreed and stay out of the way, so the party carries on around us.

Gluten-free rolls are available on request.

FAQs for West Hampstead

Can you get a hog roast into a London garden in West Hampstead?

It depends on access: a rear gate or yard normally works. Tell us about steps, gates and parking and we will advise.

Could you cook in Kilburn Grange Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, typically the council, and many parks don’t allow cooking. Check with them first.

Where does the hog roast go?

Enough level ground outdoors for the roaster and a serving table under cover, and a way to wheel everything in. A picture helps.

Do you do DIY hog roast hire?

Yes, for confident cooks. Ask and we will talk you through it.

Do we need a marquee for a party hog roast?

We bring cover for the roaster; plan shelter for guests in bad weather.

What if things run late?

Within reason, we can. Give us a contact on the day and we’ll fit around changes.

Can you cater for vegetarians?

Add lamb, chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan option. Please note we do not offer halal meat.

Can the hog roast be cooked indoors?

No, the roast is always cooked outdoors under cover, away from buildings and marquee walls. We can often serve indoors if the venue agrees.
