How our wedding hog roast works in Hale
A wedding hog roast can be the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. We roast at the venue through the ceremony and drinks, then carve at the time you’ve set. Popular choices include spit-roast lamb, carved roast pork and new potatoes, and we’re often booked for wedding breakfasts with sides and garden weddings at home.
Rural weddings around Hale have a magic of their own, and slow-roasted pork carved for guests adds to it. Plan a firm route in, especially if it rains. Our staff serve and clear, so nobody in your party has to serve or tidying up afterwards.

Full catering or machine hire?
You could roast a hog yourself, but it’s a long day’s work, from early set-up to carving at the end. With us catering, you get to be a host, not a cook.
DIY hire works best when someone in the family loves cooking. For bigger or more formal events, catering takes the pressure off.

Planning for dietary needs
Some guests will not eat pork, so plan an alternative. A few pointers:
- Give us vegetarian and vegan numbers
- Ask for gluten-free rolls for coeliac guests
- Count non-pork eaters, so we can add lamb, chicken or vegetarian options
- Give final numbers in good time
On your wedding day, the food should look after itself. We arrive hours before serving, roast through the day and carve on cue.
Lamb alongside the pork gives guests a choice.
Your questions about a hog roast for your wedding in Hale
Can you do a hog roast in Weybourne LNR?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council, and many parks do not allow cooking. Check with them first, and tell us what they say.
Do you come out to small places like Hale?
No, we come to small places too. Let us know about access and the cooking spot.
What about guests who do not eat pork?
There are lamb, chicken, vegetarian and vegan options: spit-roast lamb, rotisserie chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan burger or sausage. We don’t offer halal meat.
Do we need to provide electricity?
Cooking is gas-fired, so no mains power is needed for the roast. Power can help with lighting after dark.
Do you do DIY hog roast hire?
Yes, for confident cooks. Ask and we will talk you through it.
How do we prepare?
A clear, level cooking spot, a route to wheel the equipment in and a contact for the day. We bring everything else.
How do you work out quantities?
We size the roast to your numbers, so a good estimate matters. The quote sets it out.
How much room do you need?
Enough level ground outdoors for the roaster and a serving table under cover, plus a step-free route to wheel the equipment in. Send us a picture if you are unsure.
