Corporate hog roast for Windsor

Looking after everyone

Most people love a hog roast, but it’s pork. Here’s how to cover everyone:

  • Request gluten-free rolls
  • Stuffing typically contains gluten, so check the allergen list
  • Put the allergen list where people can see it
  • Keep alternatives clearly labelled

Afterwards we tidy up, and leave the site clean.

Gluten-free rolls are available on request.

How our corporate hog roast works in Windsor

A carving station gives a client event a sense of occasion. With china and sides, it becomes a proper meal. On the menu are hog roast rolls, spit-roast lamb and salads, and we’re often booked for new premises openings and end-of-project celebrations.

A staff treat in the yard in Windsor is easy with a hog roast, if the site agrees. The carving happens right in front of your staff, so every roll gets hot pork and a piece of crackling, and nothing sits in a hot cabinet.

Working with your venue

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a fête committee, tell us who our contact on the day will be. We’ll keep everyone in the loop.

Venues often have rules for outside caterers, from approved lists to where a gas roaster can go. Ask early, and pass on anything they need from us.

Prices and what affects them

There’s no fixed price list, since every event is different. The main factors are:

  • How many people are eating
  • The serving time and how long we are on site
  • Crockery choices
  • The date and time of year

The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, plus travel and access. Every booking is different, which is why each one gets its own quote.

What we need to know

When you enquire, please mention:

  • Roughly how many people
  • The date and time of the event
  • The venue or postcode
  • Where the roaster could go, ideally with a picture

Planning ahead? Popular dates fill up early, especially summer Saturdays and December Fridays. Tell us your date and we will check it: use our quote form.

Step by step

Serving is straightforward: the chef carves and the team serves, and sides go out at the same time. Afterwards we clear the serving area and pack away. Daytime open days in Windsor are rarely affected by light, though in winter it is dark by about 3:55pm, so late events need lighting.

  1. Get in touch with the basics.
  2. We check with facilities and quote.
  3. We roast on site.
  4. We carve and serve quickly.
  5. We leave the site clean.

Preparing for the day

  • Confirm numbers ahead of the day
  • Make sure the cooking area is away from walls, tents and trees
  • Tell us about narrow gates or side passages

Getting a price

Planning help

Windsor: your questions answered

Is Windsor close to London?

Roughly 23 miles from the centre of London.

Can you do a hog roast in Sutherland Grange?

Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Check with them first.

Can you send documents for facilities?

Let us know your site’s requirements, and we will confirm what we can provide.

Can we just hire the roaster?

DIY machine hire is available. We’ll explain what’s supplied and how it works when we quote.

Do you cater open days with families?

Open days are a great fit, with chicken and vegetarian options for visitors.

Is a hog roast smart enough for clients?

With china and sides, it works well for clients.

Is crockery included?

We supply plates as standard. You can upgrade to china if you prefer.

Do you offer gluten-free rolls?

Gluten-free rolls are available on request. Stuffing normally contains gluten, so check the allergen information.

A closer look at the menu

Rotisserie chicken

Rotisserie chicken is a simple, popular alternative to pork, turned until the skin is golden.

Crackling

For many people, the crackling is the best bit: crisp, golden and full of flavour, straight off the hog.

Should I cook it myself?

The hardest part of a DIY hog roast is timing: a big roast takes hours and must be cooked thoroughly. If that sounds stressful, choose the catered option.

Some hosts try a barbecue instead, but someone ends up cooking in batches all afternoon. A hog roast cooks in one go and is carved for everyone.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Next to a plated lunch, it is less formal and normally costs less. UK price guides vary widely: roughly £10 a head for a simple roll, rising past £20 with more included. We quote every event individually, with everything listed.
