Film set catering in Chelsea, carved to order

We liaise with your locations and production team on access, base layout and timings. We serve new potatoes, a vegan option and hog roast rolls, and typical bookings are for milestone days on set and music video days.

Shoots in Chelsea often use streets, yards and car parks as unit bases. The location manager will agree where we set up. Timings are planned around your shoot, working back from when you want to eat, so the food is ready at the right moment.

About the food

Roast pork

The hog roasts slowly for hours, so the meat is tender and juicy, and our chef carves it to order.

Crackling

For many people, the crackling is the best bit: crisp, golden and full of flavour, straight off the hog.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up where we’ve agreed, and get on with roasting and serving. Because the roast starts early, and winter daylight in Chelsea ends around 3:55pm, so we may set up under lights.

  1. You send the location, date and lunch call.
  2. We check access to base and quote.
  3. We agree where we set up and when we arrive.
  4. We carve to order the moment lunch is called.
  5. Afterwards we clear our spot at base.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, open area outside for cooking
  • Ask about allergies and dietary needs beforehand
  • Have a covered area for eating in case of rain

Planning help

Where the roaster can go in Chelsea

A hog roast cooks outdoors for hours, so the spot matters, so a few things are worth checking:

  • A level area at base
  • A named contact at base
  • Access agreed with locations

As a London location, Chelsea is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.

Popular choices

  • Hog roast rolls
  • Halloumi skewers (V)
  • Salads
  • Rotisserie chicken
  • Spit-roast lamb
  • New potatoes
  • Vegan option (Ve)
  • Stuffing and apple sauce

How we price a hog roast for the crew

Each booking is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Which meats and sides you choose
  • Travel to Chelsea
  • Numbers
  • Season and day of the week

Weekday and off-season dates can be easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Tell us your budget and we will suggest what works.

What to tell us

To get the best quote, send us:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Dietary requirements
  • Rules from the venue or landowner
  • The date and when you’d like to eat

Every shoot is quoted on its own, because numbers, menu, serving time and travel vary. Ask us for a quote for your shoot: use our quote form.
