Hog roast hire for Three Bridges

Looking after everyone

Most people love a hog roast, but it is pork. Here’s how to cover everyone:

  • Give us numbers for vegetarians and vegans for the halloumi skewers and vegan option
  • Count anyone who doesn’t eat pork, so we can bring lamb, chicken or vegetarian options
  • Tell guests what’s on the menu in advance
  • Add a dietary question to your invitations

The roaster needs looking after for hours, and that is what we’re there for. You can get on with your event.

Add lamb or chicken for a second roast, priced in the quote.

How to compare hog roast caterers

Should I cook it myself?

Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you.

We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You cook and carve it yourself; we’ll confirm what comes with it when you ask.

Step by step

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up where we have agreed, and get on with roasting and serving. Late September evenings in Three Bridges lose the light at about 7:05pm, and in December it is nearer 3:55pm. After dark, a lit path to the food makes a difference.

  1. You tell us the date, the address, rough numbers and when you’d like to eat.
  2. You get a check on the date and the spot, and a quote.
  3. On the day, we set up on the agreed spot and start roasting.
  4. We carve and serve when you’re ready to eat.
  5. Afterwards we clear up and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Make sure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
  • Send final numbers in good time
  • Think about shelter for your guests

Common questions in Three Bridges

We are gathering after a service at St Barnabas': can you cater?

Yes, at a home, hall or venue nearby with an outdoor spot for the roaster. Churches rarely have space for a hog roast, so the food is usually elsewhere. Send us the address.

Could you cook in Grattons Park?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Ask them first, and tell us what they say.

Where does the hog roast go?

A flat, open spot outside, plus a step-free route to wheel the equipment in. Send us a picture if you are unsure.

Can we choose catered or DIY?

You can have us cook, or hire the machine. We will explain what’s included in each when we quote.

Is mains power needed?

The roaster runs on gas, so we don’t need mains power to cook. A socket nearby is useful for lighting.

Is crockery included?

We bring plates as standard. China crockery is available on request and quoted separately.

How do you work out quantities?

The roast is chosen to suit how many you’re feeding, so a good estimate matters. We will confirm the menu in the quote.

Can you cook inside a hall or marquee?

Outside, always. Serving indoors is generally fine if the venue is happy.

For planners, venues and organisers

Marquee suppliers normally set distances for cooking equipment, so tell them a hog roast is coming. The roaster stays a safe distance from the marquee.

For workplace bookings, ask your facilities team about outside caterers and gas cooking. We will fit in with site rules.

A hog roast or other catering?

A hog roast has one downside: it’s pork. That’s why we offer lamb, chicken, halloumi skewers and a vegan option for anyone who doesn’t eat it. Cost depends on numbers, menu choices and service time, along with distance and how easy the site is. There is no one-size price, which is why each one gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • Fresh carving at the serving station
  • A choice of salads and potatoes
  • All the equipment comes with us
  • Slow-roasted at your venue, not reheated
