How our party hog roast works in Leyton Grange

A party at home needs a little planning for the roaster: level ground outdoors, clear of the house and fences. We’ll help you choose. Whether it is big birthday parties and wedding anniversaries, we can cook crackling, hog roast rolls and coleslaw.

In Leyton Grange, a party at home is the usual choice, and access is the question. With no side passage, a rear gate or front garden may work. A picture helps. Everything we need to roast, carve and serve comes with us, and we leave the spot tidy when we go.

Prices and what affects them

Every booking is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Which meats and sides you choose
  • How easy it is to reach the spot
  • The journey to the venue
  • How long the roast and service take

Distance is part of the price: travel is included in your quote, with any London charges listed. Tell us the exact address for an accurate figure.

Getting an accurate quote

To check the date and the space, we’ll need:

  • A picture of the cooking area
  • Any venue rules
  • The venue or postcode
  • Any dietary needs or allergies

To get a quote, just tell us the date, where the party is and roughly how many. A photo of the cooking area helps. Fill in our quote form.

Organising for someone else?

For workplace bookings, ask your facilities team about outside caterers and gas cooking. We will fit in with site rules.

Planning on behalf of a committee? A single point of contact keeps things simple, particularly when timings shift.

What the cooking area needs

Before the day, it helps to think about where the roaster will go. The ideal spot has:

  • A level spot in the garden, on the patio or drive
  • A heads-up for next door
  • A spot well away from the house

As a London location, Leyton Grange is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

How to compare hog roast caterers

Should I cook it myself?

Some hosts try a barbecue instead, but someone has to stand at the grill all day. A hog roast cooks in one go and is carved for everyone.

If you’re confident and want to save on staff, DIY machine hire is an option. You do the roasting and carving; we will confirm what comes with it when you ask.

Do we need to wash up?

Plates come as standard and our staff clear the serving area.

Most gardens can work, and a way to wheel the equipment through. A photo helps.

What happens on the day

Service is quick once we start carving: our chef carves and our staff fill the rolls or plates, and sides go out at the same time. Afterwards we clear the serving area and pack away. At midsummer, it’s light in Leyton Grange until about 9:20pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Show us the garden or drive.
  2. We confirm it works and send a quote.
  3. On the day, we roast slowly under cover.
  4. Our staff serve rolls and sides.
  5. We clear up so you don’t have to.

Before we arrive

  • Keep the spot clear of buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches

Looking after everyone

Tell us about dietary needs early and we’ll help. Tips:

  • Ask us to label vegetarian and vegan food
  • Check the allergen list, as stuffing usually contains gluten
  • Count non-pork eaters for the alternatives
  • Ask about allergies on the invitation

If the party runs late, the roast can wait a little, so tell us if timings change.

Ask about china for a sit-down party, at extra cost.

  • Cooked where you are, slowly, over several hours outdoors
  • Carved to order by our chef, with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • Options beyond pork, including lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes
  • Served by our staff at the time you choose, then cleared away
