Slow-roasted pork in Park Royal

Party hog roast near Park Royal

A hog roast works for street parties as well, once the road closure or permission is in place. Popular choices include jacket potatoes, apple sauce and rotisserie chicken, and we are regularly asked to cater garden parties and wedding anniversaries.

Throwing a party in Park Royal? A hog roast keeps you out of the kitchen, at home or a hall with a garden. A long roast means a word with the neighbours. We bring plates as standard, and china crockery is available on request, quoted separately.

The closest is Harlesden station, roughly 0.8 miles away.

Can you get a hog roast into a London garden in Park Royal?

Frequently, if there is a rear gate, a front garden or a yard we can use. Tell us about steps, gates and parking and we will advise.

Is clearing up included?

We bring plates and clear up after service.

Is there a non-pork option?

Add lamb, chicken, halloumi and vegetable skewers or a vegan option. We do not offer halal meat.

What’s the price?

Numbers, menu and travel decide the price. Tell us your date and we will send a price.

Who serves?

You do not need anyone else: our chef carves and our team serves and clears.

Do you do DIY hire for parties?

You can hire the machine. We’ll explain what’s supplied and how it works.

Do you provide china?

Plates come as standard. If you’d like china, ask and we will add it to the quote.

DIY versus a catered hog roast

You could go for a cold buffet, but hot, freshly carved roast pork is a different experience.

We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You do the roasting and carving; we will confirm what comes with it when you ask.

Prices and what affects them

There is no fixed price list, because every party is different. What matters most:

  • The serving time and how long we are on site
  • Which meats and sides you choose
  • The number of people
  • Busy dates such as summer Saturdays

Travel matters for the price: travel is included in your quote. Tell us the exact address so the quote is accurate.

What we need to know

To get the best quote, tell us:

  • Your date and serving time
  • Which meats and sides you’d like
  • A picture of the cooking area
  • Any venue rules

The quickest way to get a price is to tell us the date, where the party is and roughly how many. A photo of the cooking area helps. Send us your details through our quote form.

Organising for someone else?

Some venues add a fee for outside caterers, so it is worth asking first. We will work with the venue on access and the cooking spot.

Event organisers often ask caterers for paperwork such as a risk assessment. Let us know what your event requires and we’ll tell you what we can send.

What the cooking area needs

The roaster needs space, cover and a safe distance from anything that could catch the heat. Things to check:

  • Flat ground in the garden or on the drive
  • Space away from the house, fences, sheds and trees
  • A wet-weather plan for guests

As a London location, Park Royal is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, use the cooking spot you’ve chosen, and get on with roasting and serving. Autumn parties in Park Royal get dark early: about 7:05pm by late September and 3:55pm by December. Plan lights for the path and the food.

  1. Tell us about your party: date, address and numbers.
  2. We check the garden or drive and quote.
  3. We arrive early and get the roast going.
  4. At food time, the chef carves and we serve.
  5. We tidy up and pack away.

Preparing for the day
