Slow-roasted pork in Heath Park

Wedding hog roast in Heath Park, slow-roasted on site

We work with your venue on the cooking spot, timings and access well before the day, so nothing is left to chance. Whether it is second-day get-togethers and anniversary vow renewals, we can cook spit-roast lamb, carved roast pork and new potatoes and more.

Couples in Heath Park frequently hold the reception at a local venue or at home. The roaster needs an outdoor spot under cover, away from the building, which many London venues cannot offer, so ask early. We bring the roaster, the cover and everything we need to cook and serve, and we leave the spot tidy when we go.

Why a carved hog roast beats a buffet

Compared with a three-course plated meal, a hog roast wedding breakfast is relaxed and usually costs less per head. It still feels like a feast. The price depends on numbers, the menu and how long we serve, plus travel and access. Every booking is different, so we quote each one individually.

Why us?

  • Self-contained: roaster, cover and serving kit
  • Lamb, chicken and vegetarian options alongside
  • The classics: stuffing, apple sauce and crackling
  • Carved by our chef in front of your guests

See our pricing or the cost guide.

Full catering or machine hire?

Full catering or machine hire? Catered means we do everything: roasting, carving, serving and clearing. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.

Buying in a cold buffet is another option, but nothing beats hot pork and crackling carved in front of you.

Allergies and dietary needs

You will get allergen information for everything we serve. To help:

  • Request gluten-free rolls if needed
  • Stuffing normally contains gluten
  • Count non-pork eaters, so we can add lamb, chicken or vegetarian options
  • Halal isn’t offered, so plan separately if needed

You won’t have to think about the food. We arrive hours before serving, roast through the day and carve on cue.

China crockery can be added for the wedding breakfast, quoted separately.

Heath Park questions

We are gathering after a service at Saint Alban Church of England: can you cater?

Yes, at a home, hall or venue nearby with an outdoor spot for the roaster. Churches rarely have space for a hog roast, so the food is generally elsewhere. Tell us where you will gather.

Could you cook in Haynes Park?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Check with them first, and tell us what they say.

Do you bring plates?

Plates are included. You can upgrade to china if you prefer.

What’s included?

The classic: pork in rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. Your quote lists any sides and extras.

What if our venue has its own caterer?

Your venue decides: some welcome outside caterers, others do not. We’ll sort the details with them.

Do you do evening food?

Yes, evening food is very popular. Rolls with stuffing, apple sauce and crackling go down well after dancing.

Do you need power or water?

No, the roast is cooked on gas. Tell us what’s available and we’ll plan around it.

Who serves?

No need for your own staff: we carve, serve and tidy up.

Step by step

Carving is part of the show: our chef carves the pork in front of the queue, with crackling for everyone who wants it. Evening food at a Heath Park wedding frequently goes out just as the light fades: sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. Festoon lights by the carving station look lovely in the photos.

Crackling
