Slow-roasted pork in Spring Park

Wedding hog roast in Spring Park, slow-roasted on site

As a main meal, the hog roast is served on plates: roast pork, crackling and a choice of sides, with china available on request. Popular choices include rotisserie chicken, new potatoes and carved roast pork, and we’re often booked for late-night wedding food and second-day get-togethers.

Couples in Spring Park often hold the reception at a local venue or at home. We need an outdoor cooking area clear of the venue, which many London venues cannot offer, so ask early. Let us know about allergies and dietary needs in advance, and we will give you the allergen information for every dish before booking.

Should I cook it myself?

Catered or DIY? Catered means we do everything: roasting, carving, serving and clearing. With hire only, you do the cooking yourself.

We also hire out the hog roast machine for confident cooks. You do the roasting and carving; we will confirm what comes with it when you ask.

Is a hog roast right for your wedding?

Some couples have a formal meal and a hog roast in the evening; others make the hog roast the main meal. Midweek and quieter months are frequently easier to book, and the menu you choose makes a difference too. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest what works.

Why Spring Park hosts choose us

  • All the equipment comes with us
  • Halloumi skewers and a vegan option too
  • Crackling for everyone who wants it
  • Roasted on site, slowly, for hours

See our prices page or the cost guide.

Planning the cooking spot

The roaster needs space, cover and a safe distance from anything that could catch the heat. Before booking, check:

  • Step-free access for our equipment
  • Clear space away from the marquee and any branches
  • Permission for outside catering

Spring Park is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access can be tight: let us know how we reach the cooking spot and where we can park.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we serve, dish by dish

Crackling

For many people, the crackling is the best bit: crisp, golden and full of flavour.

Stuffing and apple sauce

Sharp, sweet apple sauce and savoury sage and onion stuffing go with the pork perfectly. Note that stuffing normally contains gluten.

Spring Park questions

Which station is closest to Spring Park?

West Wickham station, about 0.8 miles north-east of the centre.

Can you get a hog roast into a London garden in Spring Park?

Frequently, if there is a rear gate, a front garden or a yard we can use. Tell us about steps, gates and parking and we’ll advise.

How much does a hog roast cost?

It depends on numbers, the menu and how long we’re on site. Tell us your date and we’ll send a price.

Can we add a second roast?

Lamb and chicken are both available as a second option.

Can you roast in the rain?

We cook under a gazebo, so rain is not a problem for the roast. A marquee, hall or barn for eating makes all the difference.

What happens after service?

We pack everything away after service, and we take our equipment with us.

What’s included?

Roast pork carved into soft rolls with sage and onion stuffing, apple sauce and crackling. Extras include lamb, chicken, halloumi skewers, a vegan option, salads and potatoes.

Will guests be full?

A few lights by the serving table help guests and photos alike.
