Film set catering for Plaish

Film set catering in Plaish, carved to order

Chicken, lamb, halloumi skewers and a vegan option cover most crews, and we provide allergen information for every dish. We are often asked to cater crew thank-you days and period drama shoots, serving spit-roast lamb, halloumi skewers and new potatoes.

Near Plaish, check tracks and ground with locations. Our chef carves in front of your crew, so every roll gets hot pork and a piece of crackling, and nothing sits in a hot cabinet.

How the day works

The roaster cooks outdoors, under a gazebo on level ground, away from buildings, marquee walls and overhanging branches. We agree exactly where before the day. Summer shoots near Plaish have light until about 9:20pm, which suits an evening wrap at base.

  1. The production office sends us the location, dates, numbers and lunch time.
  2. We check the route and send a price.
  3. Our position and arrival are agreed in advance.
  4. We carve to order the moment lunch is called.
  5. We pack away straight after service.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ensure we can wheel the roaster to the spot
  • Send final numbers in good time
  • Pick a flat, open area outside for cooking
