Hog roast for events in Three Mills

Hog roast for events near Three Mills

Sports clubs, fun runs and tournaments suit a hog roast, served as people finish. For vintage rallies and town and village days, we can cook crackling, hog roast rolls and apple sauce for your visitors.

Events in Three Mills range from street parties and school fairs to markets and festivals. Organisers usually need council permission for public spaces, and we need a pitch we can reach. We bring plates as standard, with china available if you’d like it, at an extra cost.

For planners, venues and organisers

For events on land you do not own, such as a park or field, the landowner needs to agree to cooking and vehicles. Get that agreed before booking.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, a PA or on a committee, let us know who we’ll deal with on the day. We will keep you both updated.

The menu, dish by dish

Halloumi and vegetable skewers (V)

Halloumi and vegetable skewers are the vegetarian choice: squeaky, salty cheese with colourful veg, in a roll or on a plate.

Stuffing and apple sauce

Stuffing and a dollop of apple sauce turn a pork roll into a hog roast roll.

What the cooking area needs

The right spot for the roaster makes everything easier. Look for:

  • A vehicle route onto the pitch
  • Any paperwork the organisers need
  • Clearance from other stalls and tents

Three Mills is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access can be tight: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

Not sure about the cooking spot? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Allergies and dietary needs

With a bit of planning, dietary needs are easier to handle. Here are a few tips:

  • Make the stall easy to find
  • Stuffing normally contains gluten
  • Gluten-free rolls can be brought on request
  • Share the event’s food safety requirements with us

Name an organiser to meet us.

Coleslaw goes well with pork rolls.

How the day works

The roaster cooks outdoors, on a level, open spot under cover, well clear of walls, tents and trees. We’ll agree the spot with you beforehand. In late May, sunset in Three Mills is about 8:50pm, while at midsummer it is about 9:20pm. After dark, the stall needs lighting.

  1. It starts with your event date, site and expected numbers.
  2. We check the pitch and any paperwork, then quote.
  3. We arrive early, set up on the pitch and start roasting.
  4. We serve to order through the event.
  5. We pack down, take our waste and leave the pitch clean.

How to prepare

  • Have a level outdoor spot ready
  • Gather dietary requirements early
  • Ensure the cooking area is away from walls, tents and trees
