Wedding hog roast for Surbiton Park
Wedding hog roast near Surbiton Park
A hog roast is made for marquee, barn and garden weddings near Surbiton Park. The roaster cooks outside under cover, and the food is served in the marquee or barn. We serve spit-roast lamb, halloumi skewers and carved roast pork, and we’re regularly asked to cater marquee weddings and intimate weddings.
Couples in Surbiton Park frequently hold the reception at a local venue or at home. We need an outdoor cooking area clear of the venue, so check with the venue early. The hog is roasted on site at your wedding, low and slow, for hours, then carved fresh for your guests.

For event organisers in Surbiton Park
Many venues set rules for outside caterers, from approved lists to where a gas roaster can go. Ask early, and pass on anything they need from us.
For events on land you don’t own, such as a park or field, you will need the landowner’s permission for cooking and vehicles. Get that agreed before booking.
What the cooking area needs
It’s worth planning the cooking area in advance. We look for:
- Lighting for evening service
- A short walk from the serving station to the guests
- A level spot near, but not too near, the marquee
As a London location, Surbiton Park is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and access takes planning: tell us about side or rear access, steps and parking for our vehicle.

The process
Expect a calm, organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up where we have agreed, and roast, carve and serve without fuss. For a summer wedding in Surbiton Park, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so evening food is often carved in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

Planning help
How we price a hog roast for your wedding
We work out each quote from:
- How easy it is to reach the spot
- Distance from us
- How many people are eating
- How long the roast and service take
When comparing prices, compare the same things: menu, sides, serving time, staff, plates and travel. A cheaper headline price can leave things out.
